@@SirGrimm Mask of Many Faces just gives you Disguise Self as an at will spell without a spell slot requirement. But early in the campaign and I believe later as well, Fjord talks about watching people and that he learned how to mimic people from just watching how they move, talk and interact. I think it's when he leaves the party and goes towards the Menagerie Coast during their first real downtime in Zadash.

@@ZypherWildfire Nah it’s all an original clip. They only did the fun post-it’s for a little bit in c2, but I kinda wish they brought them back cuz they were funny. The character names and art are in c3 but only at the beginning of the episode and after the break.

Late campaign Fjord was a great character with a wonderful arc, but early campaign Fjord was a badass. And I completely forgot how early on Jester knew about Fjord's voice.

This is a good clip to remind people that Travis know how to intimidate really well. And that calculating side of him could be one of reason why he is the CEO of CR company. Also, the top table went along with the each other without missing a beat. It was beautiful to watch.

For the record, the guy they are ruining is an a-hole who had control of an enslaved Marid, a water genie. And had been trying to intimidate Jesters mom into seeing only him. Jester's the one who forgot her accent in the above clip.

Oh, yeah…he was a creep & well on his way to villainy. However…! …and this is purely looking at the campaign baddies; “Algor” was just a piss drop in the bucket compared to some of the nasties the Mighty Nein encountered. Lost a hand..lost his home…lost his name…it was a fair deal.

He was seeing an expensive prostitue and got jealous, so they chopped off his hand, ruined his life, and sent him away from his home forever. Oh, and destroyed his reputation so everyone thinks he intentionally did all that the M9 did. Yeah, no. The punishment did not even close to fit the crime. The M9 are vicious and it was pretty gross through a lot of the campaign. Edit: To clarify, it was entertaining. But they often did extremely immoral things.

To be fair, it's been a long time irl since this happened, and I'm pretty sure the cast doesn't rewatch this stuff, so outside Marisha and Sam's note taking and maybe Dani reminding them, they're not getting too many reminders of this kind of thing, especially since they were already a good way into c3 when they did the brief M9 reunion.

In all fairness its amazing how much you forget in the heat of the moment in this game, especially stuff from long ago, this was around episode 30 and the campaign was 141 episodes long, not counting breaks thats about 3years with this being like 8months in. On the other hand they had an invite to a water genie's palace in the water plane and never followed up on it. Admittedly they players could have known out of character when marisha goes back over her notes, but then decide that in character they wouldn't have thought of it. (They get deep enough into role playing that they regularly separate player and character knowledge like this)

I wouldn't say this is a cool intimidation, too many moments mashed together and it loses momentum really fast. It's not like caleb's "I will go to work If I have to" which was a smooth intimidation this is kinda trying to hard and it sorta makes me feel bad for the guy which shouldn't be the case he was an evil motherfucker but like this is a bit too far, cad decomposing his hand right in front of him? Beau and Fjord's convorsation? It is drawn out and loses that inital badass feeling. Purely from like a "writing" (for lack of a better word) critique

It does kinda suck when one person in the party does/act/rps something super badass and everyone else wants to get on the train. It’s weird I feel like it happens in regular dnd games too not just these pros. It’s like a natural human reaction to bandwagon whatever awesome thing is going on

I have less of a problem with it for two reasons. 1: In character, they do this kind of thing all the time. Someone does something, the others see and back them up. Caleb’s “I’ll go to work” came at the end of a discussion as the lynchpin in getting what they wanted, as was Caduceus’ “I wish for you to find someone who will mourn you…” bit. After a tense discussion and some arguably failed attempts at finding information, Cad drops that and helped remind Caleb that he has friends who will stand up for him. 2: Above table, as players, they want to give the person rolling as many advantages as they can. I can’t speak for Matt but I personally will change DCs constantly based on what the party does. Travis’ Mask of Many Faces would give him advantage, but Cad decomposing the hand would make the DC plummet. Also let’s not forget that at this point, they weren’t all in on the hero thing. They were still a group of weirdos and, had things gone differently, could’ve easily become villains. This scene would’ve fit right in with any number of Matt’s villain scenes.
