Striptease in worst tracks... ya we just aren't on the same page. Also i really diagree that she is selling out yes theres some pop songs like Perfect Stranger (actually thats it) but just because it leans into dance music Eusexua, sticky, striptease and drums of death is definitely not selling out.

I'm glad I wasn't plugged into the hype this time. It's a very good rave-flavoured pop album, but I can totally see how I'd see it as a letdown if I'd expected an enormous paradigm shift.

koreless I don't think is a long-time producer; he wasn't around for Magdalene or caprisongs and frankly he's being massively forced out of his element (making trance music and percussive dance elements with zero percussion; title track is the only close demonstration with that kick sounding like a massive side chain)

I don't think any of you grasp what a 'negative' review actually is. Me being critical on what is ultimately a good album (and for Magdalene it was a 7/10 if I remember correctly) is very different than calling it bad.

@Thevinylverson I was commenting on the dude who said I gave Magdalene a bad review (which I didn't), and in the context of 'Striptease', just because a song is among the 'worst' is specifically in the context of the album. ...though in the case of 'Striptease', I do think the song is pretty bad - the production and vocal mix is a mess, until the final segment of the song where she just nakedly pulls from Caroline Polacheck two years ago, and she's been hitting this subject matter better for a decade.
