She referenced in an Instagram post that the size of the tumors removed was 2 apples, kiwi, strawberries...a fruit basket of pain. I think she also talks about a relationship within herself. Through the hardship she rediscovered the little girl inside of herself and is nurturing her, she didn’t know that she was lonely.

aww man this really speaks to the idea that we leave behind the child in us past a certain age in order to transform into a person that is likely more palatable to the people around us; peers, parents, employers. Only for us to grow up and think things like "I miss the person I used to be". Meanwhile that "child" version of ourselves still exists but has been abandoned, waiting to be found again "I didn't, know that you were lonely". when we finally decide to reconnect with that aspect of our being we realize what has been missing for so long "I never told you I was lonely too", we were missing a whole part of ourselves that we dashed away in order to conform with the rest of "society"

Then why is a old woman pulling her out of a well, and a younger Twig appears, and adult Twig has an all seeing eye on her belly= ( appetite/want/) When water is addressed it usually within the Bible or in visual arts context, has something to do with "spiritual" and thus, it would appear she is speaking of a NEW AGE "Spiritual rebirth" of sorts (a counterfeit though, the Bible would warn). Stick with me a second here....pls If you have read in Genesis the original origin- story of the first man on Earth, was called Adam (A-dom) and he was made of* clay dirt earth* as "natural man", his composition with scientific elemental of that substance, he was the first, the Proto-type of mankind; together he held great power with Mother Eve, his wife. They went from pure fellowship to great loss with their Creator of sin and Separation, lending a terminal spiritual disease (standing) that spread to their child , we will call *LOSS , REBELLION & CUT OFF*. The fruit of disobedience and selection of evil, instead of good (communion with God) cost them much....(Secret knowledge) God then becomes a NEW and LAST Adam ( ADAM means MAN) and he from the womb of Virgin, with the Seed of holy God himself, into a Savior Messiah, full of Holy Spirit, who is pure and God, came on a rescue mission, "to seek and save the lost". He is baptized sometime later at the inception of his ministry to eventually bleed for the sins of the world, thereby fixing the "LOSS, REBELLION and CUT OFF-ness of this Division" (Of MAN with GOD) as "THE disease" spread into all of mankind; who emanated from ADAM and his wife, Eve in the Garden of Eden, lost. He is dipped, emerged into the River Jordan, into the water, a "NEW provision" a NEW START given to man to SPIRITUALLY REUNITE with GOD YAHWEH.Later, on that same God MAN would die for the sins of the earth, suffering his own "cut off-ness from Yahweh" , (The father) and it would seemingly end in a his heart stopping, and being BURST- in death, for his people he made, when a Roman guard speared his heart, bursting it open: blood of red platelets & plasma (WATER) would gush forth. Thus, symbolically THAT WATER would free silly fools in sin like myself, who would cry out for this RE-CONNECTION, this *reunion*, this REBIRTH as the water is involved in a first birth with mum and child,BUT so does The Holy One of Israel Procure a needed SECOND SPIRITUAL BIRTH of WATER WATER WATER. This is to reconnect hungry souls, in bodies (temples) with THE HOLY SPIRIT of GOD, thus resurrecting our formerly dead Spirits. When the Christian is picture/ceremonially baptized as a NEW SPIRITUAL CREATURE IN CHRIST, A NEW HUMANITY ( WITH MORE TO COME INCLUDING NEW FLESH and ETERNAL LIFE) then we are Dipped down fully into WATER. WE are acting out our Deaths WITH CHRIST JESUS, our watery grave of burial with Christ, and and end to old things; lastly, we RAISE UP UP UP put of the water which is OUR SECOND BIRTH; into a fOREVER LIFE, via Spiritual REBIRTH and the completed GOAL: re-unification with the CREATOR. He who had ever put his hands in clay dirt to raise a RACE of MANKIND OUT THE EARTH on DAY 6 of creation. *He came back to fix the BREECH* and "reaches INTO WATER to LIFT OUT (metaphorically) a NEW WASHED- CLEANSED, BLOOD- BOUGHT, HOLY, Spiritual MAN(kind), dripping from the blood of LOVE ( sacrifice), from a God whom became One of US, to SAVE US..... LOVE SACRIFICES ALL TO GAIN A ME AND A YOU....and and and them, them them...... And so shall those who took THE CURE live ETERNALLY in the "end", EVEN IF THESE TEMPLES NOW PERISH, its TRULY TEMPORARY in these TEMPLES. The SPIRIT INSIDE THEM WILL "RECONSTITUTE THEM" ( METAPHORICALLY) and call them out to LIFE FOREVER IN A GARDEN OF EDEN seen in the 21st and nearly the LAST chapter of the Bible: in peace, wholeness, goodness, kindness, sinlessness, love, perfection and much more, all WITH GOD Yahweh; Father, and Jesus and the Holy Spirit. I have a playlist called :Spiritual Damnation, HELL, *What REBIRTH CURES* Short and to the point, it will give more to this discussion, when you posed the question of what this Twig was saying/doing in this video. (Remember, there is Lucifer, he too has a counterfeit DISTRACTION to DISTRACT and *DIVERT the population to HIS counterfeit "REBIRTH" *, thus causing mankind to MISS THE AUTHENTIC. Come say howdy at the channel, if you wish. That playlist in in there too, hon.) Cheers and grace to you...

I think the eye thing is a representative of covering up pain. The other girls in the car have painted fake eyes over their real ones, pretending to be okay, and to an extent twigs was doing that too with the black patch. But then she finds the help she needs from a comforting person and then wears the pain in a bandaid, openly showing that she’s been hurt but she wants to heal. Then at the end she visits her past self and gains closure, revealing a new eye, or a new insight on her life. It’s probably not right but that’s what I gathered at least!
@elleblackmusic4 жыл бұрын
"The "one-eye" is a symbol of the Illuminati and it represents the “all seeing eye", which is representative of intelligence, wisdom and enlightenment in a worldly, secular or non-Christian understanding of the world. It also is suggestive that the “all seeing eye” see's all and is always watching everyone. It is essentially a symbol of the Illuminati, who practices Luciferian doctrine and worships Satan."

Björk never achieved full mainstream success but her impact on the music industry is undeniable, she’s considered a living legend. Kate Bush is one of the most influential artists and she was never as big as Madonna or other artists, she achieved modest success but she is praised as one of the best musicians. Bawled at the final scene with her taking her inner child out of a well. Fantastic. I’ve listened to this song since she released it but the older I get the harder this hits.

I don’t think I have ever cried this much for a music video but I did. It was such a beautiful song about finding yourself and recovering your inner child. My interpretation: At the beginning of the music video, Twigs is partying , numb with drugs and sex, she is full of pride and vanity, the lyrics reads “I’ve never seen a hero like me in sci-fi”, but while riding in the car , she has glimpse of who she is, then she tries to run away from her pain , she stops, an old lady in white holds her, indicating divine feminine mother figure consoling her , then she ran towards her inner child , rescues her with a rope and holds her in her arms, the peaceful music plays in the background. I can never ever forget this song.

My interpretation: In the beginning, we see a character who is done up in makeup and clothes but even still visibly broken. She is trying to find sanctuary in the partying and drugs, but something is calling her away. During the car sequence, the others are insinuating drug use, and gesturing towards her, but she just stares to the road, as if the spell is broken. When she exits, they are all lying in the car with drawn on eyes, wide open, maybe this implies that they are silently suffering as well but haven’t had the same awakening/calling as Twigs? Like they are wearing blindfolds, or maybe they feel numb to the self destruction? She comes home, bare faced and now wearing a bandaid, later she runs through the hills and a river, in a panic. She stops and realizes she shouldn’t run from her problems or emotions/feelings of loneliness anymore, and instead she should face them. The child she pulls from the well signifies her childlike nature that was “cast/hidden” away. This is symbolic of rebirth, starting fresh on her own after being broken by another? She must learn to be there for herself/find herself again. (Being called home could also symbolize an authoritarian figure like a parent/guardian calling a child home, or a spiritual awakening, being called home by a God). This child also wears a bandaid on the OPPOSITE side as Twigs, further implying this is her missing piece. Immediately upon being pulled up to the surface, the child reveals to Twigs another eye, possibly her missing eye? Or an illusion to a third eye. Either way I feel this is telling of how Twigs feels she can see clearly now and no longer needs to run from her pain. She has also found true companionship in herself instead of the person who has left/broken her.

And the eye in her belly location is what, please? ty
@JesusismyGOD5 жыл бұрын
@@IAMYDL That could certainly be the case. I am sorry she had pain with that condition, which I am told is a very hard burden to bear. That said, there is a surface meaning to things, I forget the name of it, the descriptor of it, and then a deeper meaty hidden meaning. I see a lot of spiritual biblical rich meaning I see in her videos, like Holy Terrain, for example. She is riding the beast at the end of the video, after this tribal dance, which stems from Revelation and the punishment of mankind in witchcraft and rebellion, among other things. I see the eye as a part of the false spiritual path of opening the 3rd eye ( but hers in on the tummy, which is interesting.) You noted her connection with the surgery in that region (the girl parts behind the stomach). That is a tenant in New Age, and the Antichrist is coming and his eye is put out in some kind of death. Zechariah chapter 11 talks about that. There is a lot more that could be said of the eye, and wisdom to the brain or secret knowledge , the light, as the lamp of the body, and much more in seeking truth or receiving a lie of godhood. Her vids are deeply spiritual, but I am not thinking she uses Mary Magdalene of the bible, one of Jesus' Friends, to highlight biblical world view's version of rebirth. Thanks for sharing. I'm happy her issue is solved.

@@JesusismyGOD Or it Could just be an artistic trippy visual & nothing more. Sometimes artists put out things (like maybe this video, for example..) just to make people think they have massive deep meanings when they actually don't. Like Bjork once said she did that purposefully in a video (I'm pretty positive, but not 100%, that it was Army Of Me..idk..) that seemed to have deeper meaning(s), but only did it because both she & the director knew her fanbase would search for some huge/deeper context, when it just was simply putting out very bizarre & interesting visuals to the music. In other words the video really was only face value & also just having fun. Which is fine!! I know with my own art I do that Sometimes & then everybody's speculating what it all means & then are paying a Lot of attention to the art. But all it Really "meant" was I was simply making art (perhaps with a lot of symbolism & whatnot), but just to make people conversate. ha. It's truly that Simple sometimes. Not always of course & I'm not even saying that's the case for certain with the shot of the eye-navel, or this entire excellent video for that matter. These are some very interesting/neat theories here about it & I may even agree with some myself. But who knows though other than the artist &/or music video director, unless they personally speak on the art publicly. Until then, nobody can give you a Definite Answer; even if they are huge fan & know a lot of facts/trivia about the artist. Sometimes it's more fun just to discuss the work than actually know, because maybe the actual truth behind it may let you down because it's not as deep (or deep at all..) as you thought. Just something to think about regarding All mediums of art!!

She's always telling a story lol. Also, I don't think she's telling a back to back or continuation story in each song like she has done with M3ll155X. These songs are obviously stories, but they seem to just be scattered dark chapters of her overall life not necessarily in order nor are they events that happened one after another as she talks about all types of experiences we all face such as: breakup (cellophane), heartache (Home with you), and intimacy (Holy Terrain), with the others like Sad Day (vulnerability/melancholy) and Mary Magdalene (Growth/Maturity/Changes). This album is a lot more intimate in regards to her life experiences, it's much more emotional and blue. Melissa was more of a sexual, intimate, and mystical fun album that was talking about the same person, with voguing visuals to portray her energies during that time period. While her Eps and LP was more versatile , romantic, and mellow. Similar to Magdalene but not as sad or intense. She has deffinitely Gone through a lot and you can feel it more in this album. I feel like Melissa was the happier more eccentric, naughty and fun/experimental part of herself, while Magdalene is her other half, the more serious and strict side of her we didnt see because she had not grown past the courage to be vulnerable. In Cellophane she shows us the vulnerability we never saw in her before. She even mentions being glad she has grown to finally meet Magdalene :) I've been following Twigs for years, and she always made herself come off as mysterious and flawless to an extent (not superficial though) but more like she was not broken. The visuals for Melissa and her LPs like Two Weeks and Pendulum increased that perception of her as an indestructible and Elegant person who could fix others. But this new era for her has broken the walls she built and shows us that she is as human as all of us, capable of having intense feelings and can be broken just like anyone else.

Listened to this song in the time when my mom passed away battling cancer two years ago. It perfectly describes the feelings of missing out on some of the last concious moments with her because of college, other household chores and taking care of her basic needs, buying meds, making food, helping her eat etc. Not having enough strenght to sit next to her bed for a long time because of the amount of pain it causes inside of me. Unreal feeling of a slow burning loss coming inevitably close and an even more unreal feeling of hope for a miracle. A lot of denial. A protective instinct to save her from the physical pain she feels and the terrible loss of memory, nightmares and paranoia. Feeling of relief in the end and a big hole in my heart it left. I forgot how to cry and this song helped me remember, thank you.

I don't know if she connects with it outside of her art though. I mean, she thought that an example of "colorism" was a darkskinned woman calling her "wash and go", because she had nice hair. She felt like she had to prove how "bad" her hair was, and seriously made a big deal about how "hurt", and offended she was to be given that compliment. And this was just a couple of years ago. It's not like she was a confused kid XD I love her music though. So I'm not a hater. Just saying.

@@maybewise maybe it was because it wasn't really a complimentary. People sometimes forget that people can internalize colorist ideals. And then project their pain onto others. I.e. like a person of African decent believing that light skinned people of African decent are "more beautiful" and thinking that only because they believe light features "belong" to white people. I'm a light skinned african and I have often got "compliments" of I'm beautiful because of my light skin with the undertone that it's because it's closer to Euro. beauty standards. Don't compliment me based on twisted beauty standards that were meant to degrade the people I am a part of. I think it's disgusting because it plays into the ideal that dark skin is ugly and I will never accept or see something like that as a "compliment" and neither should anyone else. Also people forget that African people come in various shades/tones African people are the most genetically diverse even before colonialism. Because people think when some one African is light skinned it's only because they are bi racial or due to some European influence. News flash genetics don't care about race or what physical features people believe "belong" to a certain "race". Certain features are common in people of certain demographics because of environmental influences. On a final note Dark skin is gorgeous. African people are beautiful. Sorry for the rant.

I've wondered whether she's singing to herself and speaking to the story of a more personal -- intimate, internal -- disconnect of self-as-experienced from deeper being, and subsequent reconnection with source -- her own unspeakable truth.

Maybe her inner child?

i can't even express how much this song has moved me. i never feel compelled to comment on anything but it's not everyday a song finds a place near your heart, nestles into it, anchors itself to an extremely personal nettle of memories, and etches itself there for good. definitely gonna come back to this 12 years from now and bawl my eyes out. god what a song.
