FL Studio Beginner • How to Make Beats | Pt. 1 BASS

I swear I've been making beats for a while now not knowing how to get a nice solid bass sound like this. I've either been setting for an 808 bass which has an annoying kick like sound at the start of each note if its not slid into or using an acoustic bass. Thanks for going back to the basics!

Many thanks for this video!! All these years of making beats, and I never could make a simple smooth, old-school bassline!!! The majority of VSTs I tried to use seem to have "rougher" sounding presets that would be ideal for torturing people's minds instead. LOL And I don't always want to go dig & sample basslines from records.... 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯

Well said about fl studios not being made for hip-hop beats as far as the stock stuff is concerned...Im very new to producing hip-hop beats, learning alot spending 5 plus hours a day watching vids like yours while working in the daw (Takes me 2 hours to watch 1 20 min video cause im very hands on and get caught up in the daw alot lol) I was thinking though, if you can take a handful of drumkits geared for hip-hop and use the stock plugins to create decent beats, imagine what you can do with the right plugins ;) Cant wait to up my game.

I don't even use FL studios. I use cake-walk it's pretty much the same but my softwares freei still can't hear your bass dude
