Thank Goodness I haven't deleted my soundfont folder. I have over 10GB of it for years now even when FL stopped supporting it... I had faith it would one day come back. This is that day. 😁

I looooove using Soundfonts to sketch things out before replacing sounds with higher quality alternatives. Soundfonts were a huge part of my production when I started out so I love that you brought the player back.

Our Pleasure. For the better part of 7 years, we have tried and failed to port our existing plugin to 64 bit computers. It turns out the entire plugin had to be remade from scratch to finally make it happen.

For anyone who wants to use soundfonts, some a recommended are: Earthbound SGM V2.1 Mother 3 Famicon (Has basic square synths at various Duty Cycles, plus a saw wave, noise channel, and square down), in case you want to use 8-Bit sounds while still using features like slide notes) Touhou/THInst (same thing just different names) Edit (thanks to D Payne): Squidfont Orchestral has some good strings Ultimate Guitar Kit 2 is a pretty good guitar soundfont, mostly for the lead guitar if amped Megaman X2 has some cool sounds, mostly a great 16-Bit Overdriven and Distortion Guitar

I was thinking it was time for something like this! All the stock Image-Line apps are always great quality and pretty optimized so I'm not worried about loading up my projects with them. My current soundfount player is wonky at best, and doesn't remember my selected soundfonts when i load up projects at worst :(. Thanks FL team for making a great program

The new FL Studio Soundfont is a great addition, however, it would be more efficient if it could replace the default channel selection when opening a MIDI file. Currently, it requires manually selecting each instrument, which can be tedious, particularly when working with GBA-style soundfonts and MIDI files. I hope the developers consider implementing this change in a future update.

So I was excited to come back to soundfonts but I can't get them to work for me despite having some ready to go. I have 20.7 - The soundfont player tells me to switch from 64 bit to 32, if I drag and drop soundfonts in it loads them in Direct Wave FL Full and busts them. I tried a third party vst, no dice. Also there's something about needing to switch to monolithic mode? What's going on. I just want my Kirby instruments to work. Old flps that used them are busted too. Why was none of this covered in this video?

Third video ive watched on this now and not a single one, not even the companies' channel, shows you how to actually ACCESS the soundfont panel. im a beginner to FL studio, and this is such a common problem with all tutorials it is getting on my nerves. Everytime I watch a tutorial, they just automatically assume you already know how to access what youre watching, and instead explains all the "whys" and "whats" of the topic assuming you know ALL the "HOW" i dont know all the ins and out of this program, thats WHY im watching a tutorial..... this software is very overwhelming for a beginner, and it feels like there are millions of options and i just dont know where to look for these things. rant over

The Soundfont player compresses the audio and lowers the high end for some reason!! Please fix in the next update, it's seriously annoying to constantly switch from 32 bit old FL Studio versions just to have accurate old soundfont sounds. Make a legacy sampling option or something please. The old soundfont player never had this issue!!
