The way you used the mixer should introduce some kind of phasing as there is playback of the same sound through 2 channels simultaneously, especially with one having plugins that introduce some type of delay of the signal. So a better way would accually be to just automate the wet fader within a reverb plugin on a single channel, but not the dry/wet fader in the plugin list. And to achieve the ducking with the peak controller and a ghost kick you need to select "Inverted" as the mapping formula and adjust the base in the peak controller. And to achieve volume gain of the reverb tail, you could either use compression/limiting or just automate the volume of the single channel or a gain in a plugin (fruity balance for example).

fruity limiter compressor helps with ducking the reverb whenever the pluck notes plays unlike gross beat and kickstart which only sidechaines to 1/4 beat pattern mainly kickstart
