This is what comedians are supposed to do. That's in theory their job. Point out the absurdities. Even in Medieval times only the court jester could mock the king. This is because they were considered lower than a slave, but still, they were able to mock the king. That's an important job.

Judging things from the past with today's lenses is called historical relativism, and this man just blew my mind. He basically asserted that this happens much quicker than it used to. Information moves so fast, and we forget so quickly, that shit from ten years ago is basically a century old.
@Cinicallyinsane2 жыл бұрын
I don’t think things are particularly moving faster, but rather our access to information has grown exponentially since shedding old bottlenecks, and we don’t have the bandwidth to catalogue this information so it gives the illusion of picking up pace

@@Cinicallyinsane Information overload. But things are definitely moving faster compared to any point in time. Before the internet you either got your news from the television and before the television you had the newspaper; and so on. @HasanPikerIsADouche2 жыл бұрын
@Bazooka Tooth that speed is also why so many people are misinformed, and to Aba's point, the individual really has to step up and research the information rather than taking it as fact...few do this, which is why clickbait articles are so effective in forming public opinion.

2:29:35 The controversy and backlash wasn’t because she had a blaccent innately or developed one. It was because she LIED and claimed she was black to justify her use of black slurs and used her black friends to justify her behavior basically saying that “my black friends act like this so I act like this” (i’m paraphrasing) Woah Vicky actually made a video about her childhood with her biological mother who talks about her up bringing also her dad (Steve Waldrip) who is not in the video has multiple articles on his life. Whether you have a blaccent or not is irrelevant because for the record everyone talks like black people anyways or uses slang we invented people have been talking like African Americans since the 16th and 17th century African American people created "The American Twang" dialect and the majority of slang or broken English that is spoken today by all citizens for example when people say “y’all". This can be considered a blaccent even though we connect it with a country accent but it originally was broken English slaves would use to try to communicate (because everyone had there own African dialect that wasn't universal) you could imagine with the prevention of education and no way to learn the English language reasonably some slaves tried to imitate the words and phrases British colonizers were using there for a phrase like “you all” or “All of you” was made to “y’all”. There is a reason why most European countries say that people from America don’t use “Proper English” it’s because of Slavery Broken English eventually became country which broken into other accents and those accents became different accents, then you have the contribution of Canadians who influenced American accents and so forth a new nation with its own spin on the English language with multiple accents was born here i wanted to proved more information with links but youtube will take my comment down but if you are interested google " Queen Esther Ted Talk" to learn more there are also a bunch of articles on " The American Twang".

bro, pewdiepie got cancelled and adpocalipse happened because he read the n-word once and said it once. he was called a nazi left and right and he is not even an anglophone nor american. JR is a moron and a terrible interviewer. I don't understand how a white, privileged american man can have such an ease in using this word regardless of 'context', because the context makes it worse. he has a history of egging people on to say it, he interviews eugenists and doesn't even fact checks them. He uses the socrates method of questioning everything, without actually drawing any conclusions. he apologized not because he feels bad, but because spotify probably forced him
@patriciaf8442 жыл бұрын
My biggest issue with him is his vaccine reporting, lack of knowledge, promoting extremely harmful views, promoting complete idiots (Jordan Peterson) and his nutrition approach that is the most toxic, harmful thing considering his lifestyle and choices. Americans gave a platform to a presenter without any education who shapes the views of so many men (its actually the biggest red flag if someone listens to JR and even bigger if that person is a woman)
