He used to go on podcasts pretty regularly for the first 7 or 8 years of his podcast (starting in 2009), mostly people part of the Deathsquad family, I.e., friends like D Trussel, Joey Diaz, YMH. It’s not his fault that lame people just discovered podcasts 5 years ago or so. The main reason, other than that he doesn’t need to promote anything, is what exactly happened here: Joe takes over the show and it basically becomes a JRE with Andrew and Crew, not the other way around. What you’re probably reacting to is the no headphones, which allows them to talk over each other and get quips out faster. JRE is one speaker at a time and spaced out because they are listening on headphones.

Okay to be real, the anti "mainstream media" stuff has gone too far. If you read the front page of the AP or Reuters, you're actually going to be reasonably informed on most of the big events happening in the world. Do they have biases? Sure (so does Joe, btw). The difference is that they actually invest a lot of time and effort into researching their stories and issuing retractions, and when there are ethical breaches, other organizations will call them on it, unlike alternative media- where the audience is self-selected.

Joe has legit become a master of not speaking over people. It’s almost jarring when he’s talking and then Andrew or Akaash start talking over him. You can tell he really notices it and pauses talking. He’s honed a very specific podcast format, which is different than the format/vibe of Flagrant and you can see that kinda collide a little.

Sometimes, Joe Rogan makes me want to cry. He says things sometimes that really just makes so much sense. People give him shit, but the way he talks about how he grew, how he changed, his mindsets that evolved, its beautiful. No matter what you think of him, you have to appreciate him for at least something.
@boyerindustries2 жыл бұрын
Real talk, dude cares more about being the best version of a real person who can be an asset to his people, than any of his critics could ever comprehend with their egos in their way. He makes a real effort to be “what you see is what you get”, but with a rare ability to be brutally objective and continuously be less flawed among flawed humans, but not for a bulshitty reason of feeding his ego like most people who strive to be better everyday, he genuinely just wants to be as much an asset to those around him as possible and less of a liability than he may have been yesterday. It’s definitely a highly respectable thing to see because whatever you like or dislike about anyone, how they act or what they say, that unique underlying principle is really all anyone can ask for in a person.

true story. my mom's cousin is a marine biologist that studied in the arctic throughout the 70's and 80s. He was attacked by a polar bear in the early 80s and was bitten on his back and head and was being dragged off by the bear with his head in the polar bear's mouth. a member of his team was able to shoot the bear and kill it. they had to carry him miles back to their base camp and (where they had a medic) and then wait for an air lift which took three days before they were able to get him to a hospital in northern Canada. he lived to tell the tale and now gladly shows off the teeth mark scars surrounding his head (mostly on the sides and down his jaw). He is one of the best story tellers I have ever encountered and to this day I remember sitting around a camp fire at their house in Nova Scotia as a child listening to his 2 hour long account of the attack and aftermath. He was a true adventurer and it is just one of his interesting stories. He also brews a great beer and is one of the kindest people. thought it might interest people!

I saw an episode of a show where a guy was attacked by a polar bear in Canada just like this…except in the show the team members had flare guns that were able to scare the polar bear enough to drop the guy. Think this is the same guy and story?? Has he ever been on TV?

This is literally the ONLY podcast I consistently have to watch in 1.25 speed and not my normal 1.5. It's cause of the chaos and I love it.

It’s always fun to see Joe on other podcast because he doesn’t hold himself accountable for the things he says like on JRE. He can be loose and act more goofy because it’s someone else’s platform and not his own

Ya but he also doesn’t do a lot of others pod casts which says a lot about Andrew and how much he respects him

@@shaynedonnelly374 true but I’ve also seen him go on Tim Pools podcast and absolutely roast Tim Pool and his friends, which I also agree with because Tim Pool has the personality of a wet blanket.

It blows he doesn't do many pods beside his own, i like this joe just fucking around being wacky and having a good time talking about goofy/interesting things he can remember
