The area of Colombia is completely wrong, in the book it says that it is similar size to Australia but it has around 1 milion km² instead of 7 milion
@Jwest4ne4 ай бұрын
It seems to have accidentally used the exact same numbers as Australia. Must’ve copied and forgot to change the numbers

Wonder if a typo is at the root of it...Australia for Austria? Wouldn't be the first mixup of those similar-looking names...

Also for Tuvalu the math doesn’t work, 26 km^2 is not 210 square miles. Still a great video despite some of the typos in the book haha

First of all, I enjoy watching your videos. Your voice is like it was made for Asmr. I would like to suggest you a video content. I think it would be perfect if you made a detailed Asmr video that introduces Turkey in general. I wish you continued success. 👏🖤👋

English is also recognized in Colombia because the US once claimed the San Andrés and Providencia archipelago
@dragonperson724 ай бұрын
Just went down a wikipedia rabbit-hole from seeing english being an official language in this video. While the U.S did flirt with the idea of the San Andres, Providencia and Santa Catalina archipelago becoming part of Panama for a short time during our construction of the Panama canal, this didn't pan out(no pun intended) as the locals vehemently wanted to remain part of Colombia. The reason that English and the local creole which is a mix of english, spanish, and some african languages are recognized as languages for this Colombian archipelago in the Carribbean is that it was claimed by Spain but colonized by British puritans and even some welsh settlers and privateers (at one point being a pirate base run by Henry Morgan) and the slaves they brought from Africa to work on their plantations but it was eventually given to Spain and incorporated into New Granada which under Simon Bolivar got its independence as Gran Colombia. So yes, we Americans were trying to meddle with them for like a couple years as part of the panama canal project in the early 1900's but still its the British Settlers' fault english is an "official language" in this part of Colombia than ours, just to set the record straight 😅.
