On a similar note I was on a guided tour of the Tower of London back in 2013. The Yeoman guiding us, ( I believe they are all ex Warrant Officers - Sergeant Majors), stated that he was present during a British rotation of managing Spandau and guarding Hess that in his opinion Hess was an unrepentant N*zi right up until his death.

Despite Hitler's "artistic leanings" and love of being treated like a medieval monarch, the designs break the rules of Heraldry-assuming that German Heraldic Rules are similar to English and Scottish Heraldic rules relating to metals on metals and colours on colours

I dropped him off on the parade square and picked him up when he was done and he told me , take me to the airport fast, as we drove his pennant flew off the car and I asked , your pennant sir? The Mark Felton Personal Standard would have to be a representation of a very dry martini, symbolic of his fun but dry wit. This would be centred on a combination grey and white background. The grey would represent both brain tissue, symbolic of his great intelligence, and his slightly dark sense of humour. side note, good friend her last name is Bormann. BOTH her parents, mom and dad, both served in WWII. Her mother was a driver in North Africa and is very proud of getting a compliment from Patton...on her salute. Dad would tell stories about flights over Europe for bombing. Nice. In the mid 1970's my neighbor who was a young Marine at Camp Pendleton was assigned to a VIP Marine who was visiting. He had an emblem on his car. A special flag that was raised on the base while he was there. When he left the flag was left behind and my Marine neighbor kept it. I bought it from him. Red with four white stars. A stamp that said property of USMC. Turns out there is only one four star general of the USMC. Its Commander. I sold it for a modest sum to a Marine collector at the Great Western Gun and Militaria Show that use to be held in Pomona, Califonria.

3:12 I didn't understand the Scotland holiday joke so I looked it up: Appointed Deputy Führer to Adolf Hitler in 1933, Hess held that position until 1941, when he flew solo to Scotland in an attempt to negotiate the United Kingdom's exit from the Second World War. He was taken prisoner and eventually convicted of crimes against peace. He was still serving his life sentence at the time of his suicide in 1987.

Peace in 1940 made a good deal of sense, and Germany was offering a good deal. Churchill, then as now bloodthirsty and wanting nothing but war, would not have it. Allying to destroy the real threat to Europe, the USSR, was the right move for both sides. Germany's real crime was shaking itself free of the control of the banks of the City of London(different from London the city). Remember: all wars are bankers' wars. That's why he was held and never allowed to communicate, nobody must know about the offer because it would make too much sense and the history books would have to be rewritten. Even today we're not allowed to know what Hess said.

As much you’re correct about Heydrich’s, the Reichsprotektor actually had a different flag. And the only time the Heydrich’s flag was hung at occasions like the Opera, was so that one could know where the Reichsprotektor’s box was. If you go back to early photographs of Heydrich, you never saw the flag until he became Reichsprotektor. Also Kaltenbrunner’s was actually a modification of Himmler’s. By the time he was appointed Head of RSHA in 1943, he (Kaltenbrunner) was promised by Himmler that he would be released of the duties just before the war’s end. He never cared much for the position because he didn’t want it to begin with.
