On our visits to Flagstaff, Arizona we had the chance to enjoy meals at some great locations, including Tourist Home All Day Café, Over Easy, Diablo Burger, Beaver Street Brewery, Pizzicletta, and Fat Olives. Flagstaff is a true mountain town along the old Route 66 in Northern Arizona. It sits around 7,000 feet in elevation and receives over 100 inches of snow annually. It is surrounded by rugged peaks, ponderosa pines, and many geological wonders, including a lava tube, meteor crater, and a canyon with cliff dwellings. While in Flag, we stayed in the notorious Monte Vista, a haunted hotel with a long list of famous guests and a place we found particularly charming.

Tourist Home All Day Café
Welcome to the Tourist Home All Day Café. Located within an old boarding house built in 1926, the Tourist Home is now a cheerful, modern café and bakery with counter service. They serve up amazing pastries, baked goods and made-from-scratch breakfasts and sandwiches. You are invited to come in, grab a seat and “Basque in (their) Awesomeness.”
Over Easy
Over Easy is a small franchise with local ownership and locations throughout central and northern Arizona. This clean and spirited breakfast concept has been featured on the Food Network with it’s unique rendition and excellent execution of traditional morning foods. Healthy alternatives make this a must visit location before heading out to Flagstaff’s great outdoors.
Diablo Burger
A visit to Diablo Burger is a trip to a foodie-worthy burger joint. They take an open range, antibiotic-free beef patty, place it between English muffins and add unique condiments to create mouth watering features. Combine this with their belgian-style fries and you see why USA Today picked this as the best burger in Arizona.
Beaver Street Brewery
Beaver Street is the first brewery in Flagstaff, offering a menu of unique sandwiches, salads, and wood-fired pizzas. They have been dubbed Flagstaff's favorite local restaurant and brewpub for a reason. Their food is outstanding and the full bar is accompanied by a great selection of beers from their nearby vats.
Pizzicletta
At Pizzicletta you can sink your teeth into wood-fired Neapolitan-style pizzas that cook in just 90 seconds. The uniqueness and quality of the ingredients that go into their pies has been recognized in local media. Since it opened to a “Best New Restaurant” award in 2011, this intimate Italian destination has been turning out pizza creations and house-made gelato that keeps customers coming back for more.
Fat Olives
Fat Olives began catering in Flagstaff 25 years ago and now serves up award winning recipes to the likes of folks like Guy Fieri from “Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives". The Italian wood fired dome oven enabled the bistro to become only 1 of 96 to be Vera Pizza Napoletana certified. But the proof is in the pie as the finest imported ingredients create an authentic Italian experience that keeps the dining room full.
