Flail Mowing Around a Pond

While I had the Flail Mower, I dropped by my neighbors to clear out an area linking their backyard and pond to give them better view and access to it. This setup made really quick work of the area and minimal cleanup required!

Nice video man, I watched both videos of the flail mower. Seems like you got a lot done with that beast. Im renting a MT85 Mini Skid to move back a small section of woods in a ladys back yard. Looking forward to seeing how Bobcat of NH does.

Yeah, I got a good few days and jobs worth of work with it while I had it. Nice, those mini skids look neat and strong. The guys at bobcat of nh are great, should get you setup good!

@@Frost212 Yeah, its the covential swing variant of that. The 42 is the current R2 series I believe, while the e45 is a historical model now.

So did you guys break the case drain fitting exactly like I did? Also, do you own this now? Just curious. If we buy the e60, the first thing I’m doing is welding a cage around the auxiliary couplers so I’ll bend that first before taking out another hydro line. We don't own the E55, it was just a rental I had for the long weekend with the flail head. I must have bumped the fitting on a tree and snapped it, but it was an easy fix.

Hey guys great video. I see that this video is a couple of years old. So now that you’ve had and used the flail mower for a while would you still choose it over a rotary cutter for the type of clearing that you’ve shown?

What are you using for ear protection when you're working? I see you using an ear bud it looks like and I am in the market for some.

They are just some cheap boltune model. Realistically, I should probably invest in some better isolating or noise reduction ones.

About how long did it take for you to clear that area?
