I’m pretty sure I’m a gamine but I feel more comfortable in outfits like Sn because they “hide” my body and they make me feel “safe”. I know where this comes from but I still struggle with the idea of body skimming clothes…you have helped me acknowledge my issue, thank you 🙏🏻

This video sealed it for me, I’m a gamine type. I’d been tossing up whether I was a natural but seeing how natural lines brought a broadness to your frame that isn’t there in your FG outfits mirrored what I see when I wear natural lines. Super helpful as always 👍

I love how you explain the essence and vibe of each Kibbe type, you capture it so well. :) By the way, I'm a soft natural and most of my earring collection consists in exactly the type of pieces you described. :) Love your videos, keep up the great work. :)

You look lovely in the SN, very SoCal beachy vibes lol. Loved those shorts btw 😍 Even though I'm sure I'm SN, my personality doesn't match the general "guidelines." Feels like im drowning in all the drapy-ness. But you're right about the big earrings!

I am FG and I'm love in SN style. I read about SN, this is "undone feminine look".. little like we are (teen, little boyish)! I think when we borrow this line we look great, mabe more relaxed than SN (because we are sharper and more sinewy.. you know what I mean) but still cool. Flamboyant Natural is too big for us but SN is smallish.. Of course we dont't wearing this clothes only, better mix with another lines (FG love this!). My favourite mix is skinny jeans and loose blouse with frills and flowers (Yes, I am true spring, this is my pattern ;) ).

Love your thoughts about this and the way you mix in SN vibes while still honoring your FG frame. I've been wearing my skinny jeans again and they really create an extreme that I've been missing in my looks.

I used to dress like SN just because I feel like it's often the go to outfits we see friends wearing etc like the oversized flowy cardigans or jeans and a loose, flowy blouse or shirt. But I never felt comfortable in them, I always looked disproportionate. My hips looked wide, my ribcage too narrow and my shoulders bony. And I looked shorter than I am. Just overall not flattering! This really helped to rule out SN from my list of potential kibbe types!
@mj_dolman51222 жыл бұрын
This is extremely helpful. Many of the descriptions of Kibbe types on line don't make a lot of sense to me, but now I can clearly see from your demonstration why I am a soft natural and not a flamboyant gamine. I would totally wear that soft asymmetrically draped t-shirt and long cardigan. The short cropped t-shirt looks great on you but would look terrible on me even though are body types are very similar-- mine has that little bit of extra chunkiness and width that changes everything. However there still seems to be a general assumption that soft naturals are supposed to wear earth tones and that bugs me. There is no logical reason why a person with this body type might not look better in cool or bright colours. Maybe they would still have a soft nature-y vibe, if that makes sense.

I’m the complete opposite to you! I looove the way jeans that hit right below my belly button look on me. As a FG, because my body is more straight & not overtly curvy, I actually find I have more of a “figure” when I wear something mid to low rise. Honestly, sometimes high-waisted bottoms can kind of make me look like a constricted shapeless tube because it’s accentuating a shape I don’t really have lol

Thanks, Lahna! Definitely experiment with rise if you're curious about it. OZMA has some fantastic short styles this season. But if not from them, I typically will create my own shorts when I'm bored of my jeans. I might actually turn my light-wash pair into shorts now that I'm thinking about it.

Hello Frani Matthews very good morning! My name is Gislane and a few weeks ago, when I was doing research on the topic of kibbe, I came across your KZbin channel. I've watched all of them and I've taken the test countless times, but unfortunately I still can't get an answer… I'm in doubt between NATURAL FLAMBOYANT and DRAMATIC SUAVE, I've seen and studied everything about the KiBBE system, but I confess I still have doubts about my type. .. I would like to know if you can help me in this aspect? In the case of a consultancy... I await your answer, but I thank you in advance for the excellent content you published on the subject on youtube. Kisses

I dont't know if I'm a 'gaminey' SN or just a FG full stop: I definitely have the wide frame, but I have no boobs or bottom, my face is too child-like (none of the sensuality), my legs and arms are kind of long in proportion to my body and my hands and feet are really large and long. However, I definitely cannot do things like tight blazers nor too-structured tops, bottoms are fine though. I do have some SN traits like the fleshy thighs and upper arms but things like waist emphasis sometimes ruin an outfit because my torso is too compact. At the end of the day, I think I just end up mixing both in my daily life to feel comfortable in it.

That’s what I try to do. I originally believed I was SN, but lost like 25lbs this year and I know type doesn’t change with weight change but the weight loss kinda revealed my bone structure a little more than when I was heavier (naturally). I’m still not 100% but I did notice that I feel lost in a head to toe formless, flowy look now (even with the waist definition). I still love cozy flowy elements, but I always end up adding a tough denim or chunky boot or something a little funkier to kinda find myself in an outfit again. Another thing is I can’t wear my hair down ever, but don’t look great with it short either. I know most SN look best with their hair down and natural or loose. Find that for me my hair looks best if it’s all pulled up in a tight top knot or high half pony tail with two little face framing bangs hanging out. When it’s down i literally look homeless lol

@@HumanimalChannel yes I’ve discovered I’m most likely a soft dramatic. That is why I look good in some sharp lines (honoring my dramatic lines) and also in eg. short dresses (honoring my curves) I have worn a lot of soft gamine lines and a lot of flamboyant gamine lines and they both look good on my upper body. I am certain you are not aware of this on your lovely and informative channel. Sadly Audrey Hepburn and Twiggy both suffered from anorexia. Perhaps in future vlogs, you can find some healthier examples. These two led to a generation of girls with eating disorders.

@dianana73713 жыл бұрын
Except they didn't. Twiggy was just a skinny teenager and grew out of that super skinny body once she hot her twenties. Audrey Hepburn her relation to food was a bit more complicated, basically a kind of survival's guilt after the war and also she got used to eating little because there wasn't much food during the war. Definitly disordered eating, but anorexia is a bit of a stretch.
@franibeard3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the info! I wonder if the "generation of girls with eating disorders" has greater systems to blame, rather than placing it on the shoulders of two precious women. I do agree that more examples of FG can be shown, bc there are so many!
