Changed new burner but my flame sensor cannot detect the flame aka no flame signal. Checked the igniter continuity, checked gas pressure seems everything is good. Checked dc voltage on fireye reading 6 dc on rating 4-10 dc. Js wonder if this anything to do with the amplifier? What's is your opinion on this case. Can you help me out. Thanks in advance. MP 101

If you are using a UV scanner, try holding up a UV flashlight or a flame from a torch or lighter in front of the UV scanner to make sure the flame safeguard is picking up that flame. If it does, then you might either have some kind of alignment or blockage issue within your sight pipe. You might also have an issue with the air/fuel ratio on the burner that’s producing too weak of a flame. If you are using a flame rod, make sure that you tie the earth ground on the flame safeguard over to the metal on the burner housing. A flame rod needs a solid ground reference at the burner to ensure optimal flame signal strength.

How can you till if the ignition transformer has gone bad can jump between L1 and x

To test the ignition transformer, you would need to unhook the ignition transformer from the flame safeguard and manually energize it with the primary voltage to see if it is working. If it doesn’t work when it’s hooked back up to the flame safeguard, then the flame safeguard may need to be replaced.

This control unless I am wrong, if it drops out with an air flow problem it will drop out the full sequence without reporting why it failed... So this control doesn't really help diagnose anything

Flame safeguards all have different approaches for incorporating the safety interlock string. Some flame safeguards interface with annunciators letting you know exactly which interlock in the string shut the system down, while others have the interlock string wired along with the call for heat without annunciation. Depending on which model of flame safeguard that you’re using and how it wired, it may not provide that level of diagnostics.
