Hi Baradul. I have not seen a Raven-2X video on your channel jet. You have plenty of RVN-4X, 3L and Huginn videos out there, but the humble 2X I can't find one on. Maybe there's a new underdog mech you would wan't to take a swing with in the future? Love your content and concept of build+2 games, keep it up!

I enjoy low damage flamer builds (probably why I'm Tier 5), because the battlefield is so fluid. It forces you to pilot, something a lot of assault happy MWs are not so good at. Mechs like this get you out of certain static head spaces, and I find the dynamism of the game allows that.

I know when I was running night gyr with gauss I also added Flamers. When the ersmalls novas would come for me expecting a kill I learned them about head spaces.

HEY! Jenner isn't bad. Jenner's a classic. She'a a beautiful lady and we love her! Also.. Flamers.. FLAMERS???? ... That'll be interesting.. I love Heavy MG's. I have 3 of them in my Marauder because I cannot balance the heat on it due to medium / large lasers / pulse lasers, plus extra ammo. With this build, I've managed to push back Atlas' and more through sheer intimidation factor alone, before killing them. I usually get surrounded and destroyed after that though. SIX HEAVY MACHINE GUNS? It's not fair that my Marauder can only have 3. 4:02 - I would had picked off his arms in that situation. Also, Machineguns never overheat

Once i've had very bad day in mech warrior. losses after losses. I was like, ok now this time i'll crunch you enemy! I went with my team, but suddenly I... died. artillery strike hit directly in cabin. my brand new Jagermech was dead. no other shot was received. Just one hit in cabin, by arty strike!!! Is there anyone else unlucky as me there? :))

Sadly these bad days happen to most mech pilots, unless you are one of the minority of really good players that can carry the whole team.

Oh don't worry i'm cursed too. Regularly stomped this last week for example has been horrendous. Had some freak shots too that are too good to be chance or lady luck either. Arty can indeed and often does cockpit kill.

You can actually build that with 2.5 tons of ammo and two ermicro lasers. You just have to be very patient and wait for good back shots and target ammo and gauss mechs.

I could never find hard data on how flamers actually work. Can someone explain it? From what I understand they apply heat to the target per second and there is a delay before they start to apply heat to you as well, but how many heat sinks do they negate on the target? When I tried to use them they seem to do nothing at all, or would instantly shut down the enemy mech even if I only had one flamer.

Currently, flamers throw heat at the target directly (relatively fast if you have 2-4), but it is impossible for the flamers alone to push the target's heat above ~80-90% or so. So if your target has a super cool build like gauss or light autocannons, flamers have no real effect, but anything hotter loses a lot of damage potential unless they override and take internal damage. Flamers pretty much stun the target, in effect.

I would say if you want a stupid build that can work.. put x3 LBX-2s on one arm with a 200 engine and 4 tons of ammo. Gotta protect that arm like it’s an urby arm. Alternately x1 uac-20 and 6 lmgs.

There's nothing you *need* to actually pay real money for. You can play 100% for free and have access to most of the great mechs. Many of the real money mechs suck anyways. Cosmetics are super overpriced, but of course you don't need those.

Just do the challengers that give MC. IIf you do not know mc is real money currency and you can get if for playing the game just picked up the enforcer hero mech for free. No pay wall every thing can be free if you work at it.

I feel bad for them. They can't be happy in games where they're drastically out-matched... or where they know they're easy targets & not contributing much among a team of more skilled people. I just hope that people who make/would make games learn from this.

And a team that also talks shit about you half the match. I play pugs and I white knight against the team haters. Even if 5 of 12 of us are potato's. Why are we not spending more time mentoring the green. Because teaching isn't easy I suppose, it's easy to shoot your mouth off. Unless I make that a competition and I do :). But all that does long term is getting to People turn off coms or the game entirely, losing the opportunity to have productive chat or criticising.

Aleksandrgrc Some people enjoy some good-natured ribbing, others just like put others down so they can feel good about themselves, still more are just bad people. But you are right, it does make people turn off comms or else quit the game entirely, because who wants to spend time getting abuse in what is supposed to be a fun escape? Of course, once all of the people who don't want to be abused are gone, who will the abusers abuse? I don't play online games (or really, any games), but I have siblings who do. One of them doesn't play in open worlds any more, mostly because she is sick of all the abuse. She only plays in closed worlds with people she has invited, so she can be sure they won't be jerks. It's sad, but it's the only way to ensure you're playing in a friendly environment.

Unfortunately the matchmaker can put together people who are not in any way of similar skill. It seems to me in recent months the number of games that are stomps has increased. It is no fun being on a team that is pulverized and not much better on the winning team.

@@Aleksandrgrc Thank you for pointing this out... with the match maker as it is (simply lumping everyone together), it's really important to be mindful of this. I sometimes get grumpy with people doing silly things, I've never been able to get used to the MM working this way. For what it's worth, I will try to offer guidance when I see things going off the rails. I had a couple of games on the weekend where both teams played at the level I wish I could see more often & they were fantastic.... 2 out of a great many though and several that were over in ~3 minutes (!?).
