I recently got into the game. The friend who got me into it adores the Flea and judges all other light mechs on how they fall short of the Flea. He regularly gets over 1k damage, multiple solo kills, and KMDDs. He uses the FLE-17. I don't mind dying if I get to spectate the miracles he performs as Flesus

Man, I really wish PGI would release the Firemoth / Dasher. I know the engine "won't support it" which I still question, but I would love to see Baradul kicking ass at 250 KPH.

Firemoth is love! I spent many hours playing missions in MW2 on our family Windows 95, Playing a Firemoth, largest possible engine, only 1 ER medium laser! I rarely was able to finish the mission! Max speed of over 300kph! :D

And waiting for Orders while sitting in a fiery Hell xD Just awesome how they begin to stomp the Enemy into the Ground after you told them to move forward. The first Game was just strange. "I hope they're not communicating" - lolz. No worries there. My beloved opponent - you did not catch them unprepared - I spotted you, by luck, immediately, and told them on comms - number of reds and location. I told them your name and that you were probably up to something unusual. Then told them there were two red mechs. Then four. Then six. Then eight. Repeating the location and marking "help" on the map. They just kept walking away from it. From the absolute beginning of that engagement. Until near the end. One person tried to hold with me, then one at a time would trickle in while the rest rotated towards nothingness. You shot them in the back as I was telling them that they were getting shot in the back. It had no effect on their choices. There was no point in that match where the team didn't know there were 8 of you back there. They just walked in the opposite direction anyway. I don't know what you call that. There was abundant communication. The element of surprise was utterly ruined. Your team did great! But I don't know how to commentate on that play. If someone can provide words to describe those choices, I'd be grateful.

I'm surprised by the lack of UAVs. Deployed in the right place UAVs can ve difficult to destroy and knowing what people are doing plus having an ecm counter can really make the difference in an engagement.

The flee is only compensating with speed because it isn't an URBI. Just like assault mechs compensating with mass so they can almost compare to the URBI.

Hey Bara...just wondering about the seismic sensor picks. I thought that as a Flea, you never really wanted to be standing still, so doesn't that very much limit the functionality of the sensors?

seismic sensors are amazing for the flea. When you are on the other side of a building from an enemy mech and he's trying to kill you. You can use the sensors to know which way the enemy mech is walking so you can always get behind him. Try it out.

The flamer nova is dead for several years now. Massively nerfed small pulse laser damage, armor/structure skill nodes and heat penalty for more than 4 flamers kinda killed it. You can still somewhat do it with other weapons and/or other mechs, but the whole concept of flamer headshots has suffered too much from those changes. try flea with stealth armor and small pulses! that's what I use and it's great. you can run behind their whole team and shoot whoever you want in the back, then run away when they start looking at you

@@Spec0psGrunt You have to have ECM in order to have Stealth Armour. Flea-20 with stealth armour, masc, and 4 Med Lasers is a lot of fun though, if you've never tried it.

Fun Fact: 2nd fastest 'Mech in MWO is the Phoenix Hawk 3s. It can MASC at 169 kph with speed tweak, outrunning Locusts in short bursts.

The Flea is fun. I get over 700 damage usually and the last person alive on my team almost every time. Just sucks when you have a garbage team. You can't carry them hard enough.

Though I don't even know how it's possible to get 700+ damage and not get at least one assist. Is there like...a certain amount of damage you have to do to an enemy mech before it counts as an assist?

So it is very hard to go a game where you get no asssists even if you just run into 10 enemy mechs and shoot like twice, you will still likely get an assist out if it... But dealing 800+ damage and get goggles... That is like impossible to achieve. Basically your team gets no kills in that game... But with a dude getting 800 damage, it is really hard to imagine there is no mech that went down.

Fastest locust can go is 165.4 with tweak. Commandos can hit 167.2 with tweak. Bara's Flea using tweak is going 148 normally and 177.6 with masc on.
