10:47 what Justin sees as a Maxim is actually a Vickers machine gun. They look very similar so they’re easily mistaken

Oooo.. Don't know how to play Flames of war... But these kits are lovely.

You can tell a “late” Churchill (mk VII onwards) by the round side hatches. Earlier ones are rectangular.

Would be great with a Tog II fitted out with tea making facilities 😁 great value box tho, would be a good start to a British force while waiting for their newer releases In Feburary

Honestly tempted by this set (I haven't even looked at FoW since V4 dropped...). Would like to add some more infantry, though (I need a Rifle Platoon at least, not just a motor platoon)

My grandfather was the BREN gunner for his squad and in Italy he was instrumental for capturing a damaged German Tank. Took the crew by surprise when they fled the crawlspace they were hiding in. No shots fired.

The British box is maybe the best box out of the 4 Army boxes that just came out. Thanks for showing this unboxing.

The two front plates are different. The one without the machine gun port is for the firefly because they firefly does not have a hull machine gunner in order to make space for the massive 17 pounder rounds

The called the Bren gun an odd weapon but it was used through to the of 90's in the guise of the LMG (L4A4).

Bren guns are awesome. You do have to get used to the fact that the line of fire walks so the gun can be stabilized with sandbags.

A fine selection and I really like the build options. Unfortunately as an old player I already have everything in the box. So my only question/suggestion would be: can you make a legal formation from the contents?
@gregwaugh6164 жыл бұрын
I would add some M5 half tracks to make the infantry part of the Motor Batallion and some 6 ponders plus tows.

@sgtsharp15375 жыл бұрын
although the 2pdr had HE it was broadly useless, being a relitively high velocity AT gun, the walls of the shell where thick, and lacked HE filling, and generally acted better as APHE than HE, so it wasn't mass produced untill later in the war when New Zealand started making them, plus why bother giving 2pdr tanks a near useless shell when there were tanks with 3 inch howitzers, the later 6pdr lacked HE as it was designed as an AT gun and just hurriedly put into tank turrets.

I cant believe how they butchered this game from V3 to this Frankenstein abortion of a game. Don't bother buying this game, you missed the golden years. Battle front had a great game that was fun to play but they started to think like GW and needed to change everything to make us all buy new books. They killed our flames of war gaming community from about 30 active players down to 0 in the time it took us to read about the changes. They also didn't like what the players said about the changes on their forums so instead of listening to the free market research they killed the forums.

To be honest i really don't know how useful these unboxings just showing the sprues are. you're basicly pointing at the the sprue and saying "this makes a sherman tank". is that useful? and worth nearly 15mins of video? surely an example of each put together and ideally painted is a more useful video. or if youre going to show the sprues aswell as a before and after. I know that unboxings are popular etc. just i used to watch more of these when you actually built the models and discussed how they went together. now you just seem to empty the box and read out the list of contents whilst having some banter. If this gets you more views etc then you do you. just curious as its kind of pushed me away from watching your content in search of more in depth looks at the models. cheers
