Very cool! 9 years ago I tried filming a set of controlled burns in CA but no fpv so I had to LOS and at the end I had forgotten to hit record. So bummed. We don’t get controlled burns here in Florida.

Thank you for explaining proper wildfire management. Most people are clueless. The end justifies the means. Period. In lives saved and the environment. Great vid, nurk. Mind if I share this on my channel? I’ll link to yours of course! Question: did you use a thermal cam to test the temp above vs below the flame and try guesstimating the max close distance to the flames prior to the shoot? I’m curious as to what technological tests you perform prior more so than the fire safety aspect. Those are great shots that took advanced planning and testing. Mind sharing what went into that phase of the video please?

Nice video Paul, the time and dedication you put into these videos is crazy, it doesn't go unnoticed. Remember when we were in Iowa for Midwest Drone Battle and you bet me $20 I wouldn't land on the water tower? Ahem... Still never paid up. All jokes aside that weekend was the first time we met and it was a great time hanging out with all the DRL crew the coolest course that had been created up to that point. It was cool seeing how humble all of my favorite drone pilots were, just dudes like me who like to rip and have a laugh.

If you fly hero11 don’t need to have 2 cameras for 16:9 and 9:16. You can select afterwards what you want. I guest you had 2 different frame rate on each camera.

I have sent you a hero 7, you sent me a busted hero 9 back (rattles inside,working), I sent that one back and you sent me another busted hero 9 (freezes on boot, no rear screen, front frozen on splash)…about to contact support about this.
