"If you build it, they will come!" -- for whatever reason, I'm thinking of crop circles here, Kristina.👽Maybe because your beads are simply out of this world!😸Truly appreciate you making this video. Love the camera angles and close ups -- very helpful for me to see the fine details of your well-honed technique. Time and patience -- I'm find this comforting because that just means the more I do, the better I get. And with time, it only can get better. My beads will age beautifully with me. That's poetry. 😉

For anyone who spins their own yarn- would these styles of beads work? It would be really cool if you can! The beads came out great!

Thank you! I have had questions about spinning yarn with a bead on a spindle but have never tried it.

All seems right with the world when I’m watching a Kristina Logan video! Questions for you, please: how were you able to retrieve the warm rods from your kiln without lifting a kiln door? I have 2 kilns and both have doors I must open and close. Next, how are your eyes? Do you see the actual glass colors through those lenses of yours or do the colors look different? Finally, the beads on your table are beautiful! Thank you for this video!

Thanks for watching and your thoughtful questions.😊 The door to my kiln can be opened just a crack for the glass rods to slip in and out of when I am working. The glasses I use have both corrective and didymium lenses so I can see through the soda flare and all the details quite well. 👍🔥

Thanks for your video - I can see how one would need to double the rods to quickly get a large gather of glass. It would be so much easier to control with two instead of one rod. Sometimes your beads look so perfect - do you ever cold-work them to make sure the sides are perfectly flat?

I’m happy that you picked up on this detail! If you look at the graphite plate in front of my torch, you will see a very flat disk bead (green and ivory) that I coldworked flat. I wanted to see what the rings would look like. Besides experimenting like this, I normally do not coldwork my disks.😊
