In this video, I will be showing you how I make a paper star with an appearance of 5 pointed flames. It is a great alternative to the conventional origami star for Christmas tree, door or wall hanging decorations. Hope you will be making one too.

Thank you so much. This is so creative. At first, it looked so complicated but when really focused on what to do, how and how many it seems to be easy and logic in the end, just by watching. So I will try this, soon! Your tutorials are explaining so well, so clear what to do, that they are always a success even at first try! Thank you very much! There was a tutorial for a flower with a kind of rose in the centre and it was made of many little squares, all the same size, folded straight half and then, folded over the edge to make a little star (like NATO star) which ends were rolled over a tooth pick. And these rolled ends were rolled in each other. You remember, guys? I tried with it all evenings since middle of november and I have now a variety with light colours inside, getting darker the more outside they are positioned. I made a variety on which I coloured the edges with soft pencils to have a natural flower effect (making edges a little darker in same colour), then a variety on which I pull the very inside edge of the roll, on which I fixed it first with a fingernail to be able to roll the edges over the tooth pick not to slip off...this fixed edge I pulled out by keeping it fixed and pulled the star/ folded triangle away from it. The result looks like an aster flower! So beautiful! And at least I am now doing a ball of it. I roll many, many of these rolled up triangles with pulled up edges into each other and fix the inner some with a drop of glue and form this ball carefully with my whole hands. The pulled out tips stand it easily! 😇👍🏻 I tried out how it looks with a led light in it and this is awesome! So one tutorial and many varieties just by colour, amount of parts or making a suggested shape a bit more extreme (these tips ;). I am sure that these beautiful flowers also could be made in lots of varieties by colouring the paper diamonds carefully with some aquarelle colours, crayon or pencils (depends on paper and effect you wish). Some objects look much better in plain white so that lights and shadows can play with the shapes and the rising sun let it look different from hour to hour. But some flowers seem to get alive by a bit of colour, gently painted on the tips or edges...just a little touch of it, not to destroy the simple look of origami. I love your origami tutorials so much and thank you for all these beautiful creative ideas and all the time and work you spent on making the vids! Loving blessings to you for that! 🙏🏻😇👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🌷🌺🌹🌸🌻🌼💛🧡❤💜💙💚💛

Hello Katie. Thank you for the comment. Glad you have found joy in my channel and have made crafts with your own interpretations. I liked the sound of your creativity! It is indeed true that when it comes to lighting, white paper is usually the best option for the light penetration and the shadow effect. With origami, however, the choice of colours is endless. The shape, colour and form are all so critical to successful art.
