I often prefer demos to the finished track as the feeling of them often are closer to what I think the composer intended. This seems to be true especially with Stevie's songs!

I totally agree, too..... there's a 'raw' energy in the demos that gets lost in the over-production of her songs... Stevie is a passionate singer and the best representation of her songs are in the demos..... can't get enough of them!

There's a really emotional version of 'Silver Spring', I think on the deluxe version of 'Rumours' (you can download it on i tunes) and it's brilliant and so superior to any other version. Towards the end you can hear her choking up and trying to hold back tears- it's sublime.

That’s not even talking into consideration her incredible song writing skills and mysterious stage performances and her amazing attire. Man, that's pretty! Usually I can tell from Stevie's voice what era the song is from; this sounds like early 80's Stevie. Maybe she wrote the song about Robin Anderson, her best friend who passed way in the early 80's? I know they loved to go sailing together, and on her Behind the Music she mentioned they went sailing right before Robin died. Haunting..
