Listening to and loving Stevie Nicks as a Black woman isn’t what most in my community would consider typical “black” music to be obsessed with - but I consider myself a music connoisseur, a lover of ALL GOOD music…. Who cares about the conduit of which the art flows through?! I’m 3 days from 40 and I’ve been obsessed with this woman for most of my life. My parents thought it was a bit concerning that I rocked out to Rhiannon at the age of 13…. lol but again - great music is great music. Rock on everyone. Music is the GREAT EQUALIZER. 🤍🤍🤍🤍

@J Domes Coke is just a tool. I don't know if she was on that at that show, but a lot of people were in that time period, and you could not give any amount of cocaine to a random person and reasonably expect something comparable to a Stevie Nicks show. You could possibly find a talented person who would have a hard time performing while stone cold sober, but it doesn't work the other way. "I said what's so great about cocaine? Enchantress of the Stage In the twilight's gentle glow, A voice like whispers, soft and low, Stevie Nicks, the mystic queen, With tales of dreams and what they've seen. Her songs, a tapestry of night, Weaving magic, pure delight, A gypsy soul with timeless grace, A poet's heart in every place. With shawls that flutter, wild and free, She dances through eternity, A silver thread in music's weave, Her spirit, one that won't deceive. From "Rhiannon" to "Landslide's" call, Her melodies, they touch us all, A siren's song, both fierce and sweet, In her presence, hearts do meet. Through storms of life and love's embrace, She finds her strength, her sacred space, A legend born of stardust dreams, In Stevie's world, nothing's as it seems. So here's to Stevie, bright and bold, A story in each song she's told, An enchantress with a heart of gold, Her legacy will never grow old.

She's used the same two ladies on background vocals since the very start of her solo career. They record with her on every song and they've performed with her on every concert tour. You will notice that on every song Stevie records, she layers her own voice in the background several times over in different octaves and harmonies. She is a master at molding her voice and singing background on just about every song she records. Obviously, while live in concert, she cannot do that. So, those amazing ladies (Sharon Celani & Lori Perry) do an outstanding job on background vocals during Stevie's concerts.

And they played a lot of Edge of 17. And I fell in love with Stevie. We were out in the middle of Atlantic ocean dealing with Iran and we spent 94 days straight off of Lebanon. This was before women were allowed on the ships. And to have this new entertainment which every young man loved... well it was a special time. She’s an experience. I want to see her. I am contemplating a stop in Louisville for her show there on the 27th.

This woman is marvellous! It's like watching magic. Powerful....Beauty.... Talent... Nothing but respect for her creative achievements. What an incredibly positive example of womanhood!

They are killing it today - I started off with Laura Branigan and a few more then this. I'm a 13 year old kid in 1981 listening to the radio. Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks, Eagles, etc - they sounded exactly like the record when the were live. If you remember a lot of the tracks on an album were from live performances. Here you have an "extended mix" done by hand and its perfect.

I honestly don't think she got as many flowers as she deserved for this performance. Magnificent!
