Listening to and loving Stevie Nicks as a Black woman isn’t what most in my community would consider typical “black” music to be obsessed with - but I consider myself a music connoisseur, a lover of ALL GOOD music…. Who cares about the conduit of which the art flows through?! I’m 3 days from 40 and I’ve been obsessed with this woman for most of my life. My parents thought it was a bit concerning that I rocked out to Rhiannon at the age of 13…. lol but again - great music is great music. Rock on everyone. Music is the GREAT EQUALIZER. 🤍🤍🤍🤍

Amen on feeling 20 again.. LOL.. and as for Waddy. well I kind of think Waddy made his own destiny,. He has played with EVERyone. Stevie.. Linda Rondstadt . Keith.. and more.. Waddy is the guitar hero to the guitar hero's.. He always had the recognition of the who's who of music. First time I saw Waddy was in toronto with Linda R. I think it was 71.. the man is a legend for sure. If you play you know how hard it is to play that same beat and in person these guys do this song for a lot longer and he never misses a step.. wow..

I didn’t find the dance moves awkward. Because she’s doing very hard vocals. Most of her concentration is on the sound. It like ABBA. You try singing that well. I bet you can’t. Then layer dancing on top. I bet your singing degrades from your baseline. She’s a genius. Let’s just appreciate excellence.

Pat Benatar had: HEARTBREAKER, HIT ME WITH YOUR BEST SHOT, LOVE IS A BATTLEFIELD, WE BELONG, INVINCIBLE. YOU BETTER RUN (2nd song ever played on MTV btw), and TREAT ME RIGHT. I would say only Heart and Stevie Nicks can claim as many iconic hits. Heart had Crazy on you, Alone, Barricuda, Magic Man. Stevie had Edge of seventeen, Dreams, Gold Dust Woman, I cant wait, Landslide. All amazing songs by imo the 3 greatest female rockers of all time!!! This is definitely up there in the very best, but there's a very specific live performance of her singing Rhiannon from the mid 70s I cant find anymore and the last five minutes of the song are just her absolutely tearing it the fuck up, whipping around like crazy, electrified, belting out the lyrics so hard her voice cracks and ending in one of the most incredible vocal holds I've ever heard. Unreal

Enchantress of the Stage In the twilight's gentle glow, A voice like whispers, soft and low, Stevie Nicks, the mystic queen, With tales of dreams and what they've seen. Her songs, a tapestry of night, Weaving magic, pure delight, A gypsy soul with timeless grace, A poet's heart in every place. With shawls that flutter, wild and free, She dances through eternity, A silver thread in music's weave, Her spirit, one that won't deceive. From "Rhiannon" to "Landslide's" call, Her melodies, they touch us all, A siren's song, both fierce and sweet, In her presence, hearts do meet. Through storms of life and love's embrace, She finds her strength, her sacred space, A legend born of stardust dreams, In Stevie's world, nothing's as it seems. So here's to Stevie, bright and bold, A story in each song she's told, An enchantress with a heart of gold, Her legacy will never grow old.

She's used the same two ladies on background vocals since the very start of her solo career. They record with her on every song and they've performed with her on every concert tour. You will notice that on every song Stevie records, she layers her own voice in the background several times over in different octaves and harmonies. She is a master at molding her voice and singing background on just about every song she records. Obviously, while live in concert, she cannot do that. So, those amazing ladies (Sharon Celani & Lori Perry) do an outstanding job on background vocals during Stevie's concerts.

That song gave that feel, didn't it? But it's hard to make sense of such a loss when that loved one was so young. You know they never had that chance to taste life, and you do question, is there an afterlife, and is it free from the pain of this life. Stevie, Fleetwood Mac, definitely gave new dimension to the music genre. Something unique! Idk, but so I heard / read some time ago, this particular song may have held very personal meaning to Stevie. I know that I can relate.

The stars lined up for me when this song came out. I was 17 and just about to go and serve my country. I was stationed on the USS Dwight D Eisenhower, a nuclear carrier and for some reason the ships on board tv system got MTV, which was basically brand new at the time. And they played a lot of Edge of 17. And I fell in love with Stevie. We were out in the middle of Atlantic ocean dealing with Iran and we spent 94 days straight off of Lebanon. This was before women were allowed on the ships. And to have this new entertainment which every young man loved... well it was a special time. Still to this day my knees buckle when I hear Stevie's voice. She made a fan for life.

They are killing it today - I started off with Laura Branigan and a few more then this. I'm a 13 year old kid in 1981 listening to the radio. Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks, Eagles, etc - they sounded exactly like the record when the were live. If you remember a lot of the tracks on an album were from live performances. Here you have an "extended mix" done by hand and its perfect.
