Flamingo Campground Review | Everglades National Park, Florida

Thinking of going camping at Flamingo Campground in Everglades National Park? We did just that in our tent and in this video we'll give you tips so that you can properly prepare for your camping trip. Our video includes general information that applies to the entire campground such as how to get there, where to fill up on gasoline and supplies and what to expect in terms of cell phone coverage and Wi-Fi access but also includes detailed information about what to expect when tent camping in the A Loop in terms of electricity, cooking, showers, shade and space. As a bonus, we also go over campground etiquette and what happens when you don't respect your campground neighbors.

I go camping for peace, quiet and nature. People playing loud music and putting on light shows shouldn’t be allowed camping. ESPECIALLY when there’s other people there that they don’t know. I would have been really, really pissed off at how inconsiderate that is of them. I would have asked to be moved to another location or get a refund.

If you're goint to be blasting your shitty music and putting on light shows, whats the point of leaving the city? Amplified sound systems of any kind at any volume shouldn't be allowed in camp grounds IMO. If you want to listen to music, put on headphones... It's not right to impose your music and what you consider to be an ideal experience onto the others around the park who can't get away from it. I think most people go camping to GET AWAY from man made noise and lights... they made that journey and took on that expense to hear nature... if they wanted to listen to music, they could put on their own headphones and listen to the music THEY like... not your shitty music. Again, what's the point of going out into the wilderness and also turn it into a man-made noise and light polluted environment like in the city? Just stay home and pitch a tent in your backyard. I would be surprised if the park rules didn't already state something against amplified music. Even my local parks here in Florida where people rent pavilions and throw parties have rules against music... no one ever follows them, but they're there.

Respectful etiquette also means getting to your campsite and setting up before 8:30 pm at night lol!
