Can't wait for the Berlin zoo inspired hippo dome. Its really beautiful. I'd be interested to see how you do the terrain around the entrance. If the exhibit is going to be indoor, then bengal but otherwise siberian tiger as they live in cooler areas :). Love the flamingo habitat. It still feels natural and beautiful without being particularly thematic.

The Jacksonville Zoo is mostly outdoors :) only an overpass over 2 path sections with like dome kinda "tree" in the middle of the path.. hard to explain :) you may want to look it up, it super awesome to see what they did there, hopefully I can make it look as awesome in Planet Zoo ♥

i love flamingos, they have a little habitat in the LA Zoo near the front and they're so much fun to watch, even if they're smelly fun flamingo facts: flamingos are extremophiles! they can survive in hypersalinated (EXTREMELY salty), caustic, and extremely hot water. since their natural habitat is mostly wetlands and lakes, they don't require hard shelter (which is probably why you won't see very many shelters in zoo exhibits). the inhospitableness of their usual habitat (and the enormous flocks they form) reduces risks of predation, because, like... most predators literally cannot touch the water flamingos are SO weird

You said it's difficult to make a flamingo habitat look spectacular but personnaly i like it that way. Even if it's quite simple i find it really nice plus you really managed all the terrain building so that there is just enough water so the flamingos won't swin!

I live right next to the Jacksonville Zoo!!! It’s such a pretty zoo!!! The tiger habitat and jaguar habitat are my favorite. I’ve built most of my habitats in Planet Zoo like the Jacksonville Zoo.

Ofcourse I can ♥ 1. Mostly around 1,5 to 3 hours :) 2. 1 if you can count the Franchise series we did haha.. 3. I think it all comes down in getting a hang of the controls and keys :) ones you know exactly what you can do and how to use them, the possibilities in this game are endless and you get a lot of inspiration from looking at KZbinrs, Steam workshop items and obviously videos and pictures of real zoos ♥ 4. I really dont like to build an entrance tbh.. it's one of the hardest things for me to do... so the best thing I can advise you is just to look up pictures of real zoos and take inspiration from that :) 5. Ooooof Black Jaguars most likely, but also Derpy Bongo babies and Warthogs I absolutely love ♥ I actually love all the animals, but these 3 probably stick out the most haha ♥ 6. Well.. I have over 2.000 hours in Planet Coaster and over 700 hours in Planet Zoo :) so I just played a lot and had a lot of practice the last 4 years :) Thank you for these fun questions ♥

Ik heb gister trouwens je zoo tour van Meilin zoo laten zien aan mijn moeder omdat ze vroeg waar ik al die inspiratie vandaan had😅, en ze vond je dierentuin heel mooi. I think the water depth is fine, in fact in some places it may be too deep for a city zoo habitat. Flamingos are are wadding birds, while they are excellent swimmers when they need to be they prefer to be in shallow water since that is where the majority of their food is located.

They have a little bit of deeper water on the edges to swim.. also to make sure they wont escape :P

This reminds me of Chester Zoo old polar bear enclosure, it was was pitted and had dens in the back wall. Which after the last bear died they converted into an aviary instead. It has all been knocked down now for a Madagascar area. It also was made up of pre-cast anti-tank blocks (I think) from world war two! So much history in our zoos.

Hi! love your videos!! Im from Argentina. Look up in google the TEMAIKEN zoo. It has flamingos in the entrance with a very nice habitat. Also they have pelicans like foward that enclousure. Sorry for my english, it sucks jajaja. Hope TEMAIKEN inspirates you, the enclousures are very very big, and the bird section is huge. Temaiken doesnt like to be called "zoo", its also a rehabilitation centre. They like to be called as TEMAIKEN BIOPARK

I must say My lady, you did quite a good job on your flamingo exhibit. Shame your first franchise mode zoo didn't work out the way you planned. But maybe with the new difficulty settings added to franchise mode, you can start again anew on a easier setting. Also maybe the next animal to be added to your zoo could it be a combo enclosure for both the African and Indian elephants. Keep going and stay safe during these hard times ;)

In blijdorp they have a shelter on a different location only used when it's cold. Those flamingos are native to our country in summer so they don't need a shelter for spring and summer. They are making a new aviary for them. Because it has become illegal to weewiek (removal of a bone it the wing)

I visited Honolulu zoo when I was in Hawaii a few mo the ago and yeah even their flamingo habitat was barren but it was surrounded by lush greenery and I think that helps even though it wasn’t in the habitat itself

(This may been an “old” video but i’m commenting anyways) I’m currently watching a ton of videos for inspiration for my flamingo habitat, as flamingos are one of my favorite animals, probably top #5. So far, i haven’t really tried too hard on my franchise zoo. I currently have a sandbox zoo that i’m using for practice and also for just no limits! This video has helped a lot, and is quite realistic, as in like how you explained the process wasn’t very easy, because honestly if a building doesn’t give you a little bit of a challenge, is it a build?

I had an idea for an exhibit. In some zoos, like the Louisville Zoo there are exhibits that swap out the animals. Planet Zoo is limited but I’m sure you could find a way probably with the great apes.
