The water rides I understand why they aren’t open. If the same water is touching the same people... Tidal Wave at Thorpe is closed. Flip Flop, the carts are too close together and you need a minimum of 15 people to start the ride I think. The F1 I don’t understand. Cliffhanger K do understand though because in North Yorkshire, it does get very windy which is why pterodactyl and cliffhanger are less in operation

Charging full price for the amount of rides that are closed is totally unacceptable and I would also use the term money grabbing to some extent (I personally would say 25£ would be more reasonable considering the offering), the fact they are running a skeleton crew of a staff base for the park just makes the added stress even worse. I always thought Flamingo land was expensive as it is, but considering the circumstances at the minute, I will not be visiting the park any time soon until things at least get better and the new coaster opens. the 10 inversion coaster was supposed to be built in my home park. It was here in Brazil but the park couldn't get the permits to build then it was sold to flamingo land. Nice to see how it is now :)

I went around the start of july, on a pretty rainy day, so the queue lines weren’t too long - probably longest it took was 30 mins for Kumalli and shortest (for one of the big rides) was Velocity, which I got on three times in a row in the span of like ten minutes. Walking round, I was sort of disappointed by the closing of some of the best smaller rides - Navigator and The Pirate Ship come to mind - as they were some of my favourite in the park, but it’s understandable why those sort of rides would not have worked according to social distance measures. But, everything else was quite nice. I didn’t mind the staggered openings too much as by the time Kumali opened - it opened later in the day - we’d been on pretty much everything. Coming on a colder day is a much better option, as certain rides probably aren’t worth the wait needed for longer rides. All in all, it was great, and there were few technical difficulties - Velocity breaking down briefly - a fun time overall

I remember going to flamingo land last year and getting very frustrated because of the one train ops and slow dispatches also when they shut at the end of the day they close the rides early sometimes on some rides (they also close guest services early so people can’t complain to them)

I’ve been going down flamingo land for 11 years and I’m only 13 but they were short staffed so that’s why cliff hanger and kumali were closed at different times because the same staff had to switch rides unfortunately. They also have many technical issues for some reason idk why but that’s why they take many test runs to make sure everything is safe for their customers.

Looks like the company now is more about profits than their customers and especially staff. No masks for their staff is disgusting they should be supplied PPE like every other theme park in the U.K. right now, it’s a shame they have less staff than needed, but again charging same rate to get in less staff being paid as rest I guess are furloughed more profits for the big bosses higher up. That’s just my view. Shame.

Apparently from what I’ve heard from other people about Flamingo Land it’s not been a good time for them and seems to be a bit of a faff with the ride rotations......probably leave it until next year for a visit now unfortunately, such a shame !! Also it seems pointless going to Lightwater Valley at the moment as well because 3 of their major rides are closed because of social distancing 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

I was thinking of going here this year as its quite local to me, not anymore, i go to 2 or 3 parks a year normally, last year i did Alton Towers and Blackpool pleasure beach, this year was planned to be Flamingo land and Thorpe Park, after watching all your vlogs post lockdown, we have decided to just do Thorpe park in Sept, I think the best park overall is Blackpool Pleasure beach but I went last year, Thorpe park then maybe Pleasure beach in Nov if any other

I just discovered your Vlogs - and, being from the USA - I am really enjoying seeing parks and ride types very much unlike what we have here! For example - snail rides and pony rides seem to be a thing over there! Cool! As for Flamingo Land - it seems to me that they have a lot of their rides shut down not due to social distancing, but as a cost-cutting measure. I guess they figured that most people won't mind paying full price if at least the coasters are open. Sad.

I feel that Hero and Mumbo Jumbo are a little small for the park. I can see an El Loco being cheaper than a Euro Fighter so I understand. Hero is a flying coaster, so the seating arrangement (only B&M [Air/Galactica] and Zamperla are the only ones that have built them regularly. Vekoma has been of and off with the Flying Dutchman's at the turn of the millennium, Stingray in 2009, FLY will now open in 2021). If Hero gets a queue, they can't really do much-maybe the new coaster will draw the crowds away?
