If you want to argue naruto was the main character, thats not an argument for the story but an application to the real world because no one outside of the reader and author knows naruto is the main character or a character in a manga.

At the beginning of the story we knew naruto had the kyuubi idk why you are making it seem every power up would be solely his hard work. Hard work was rock lee’s theme not naruto. Naruto was about bonds. Keep in mind the only thing he was handed that was effective at first use was the six paths power ups at the end of the series. He worked for sage mode, rasengan, wind style, improving chakra control, shadow clones, the kyuubi, summoning, etc. When you say he was handed everything you sound like a whole clown.

That's my main gripe with this fight, Naruto spends most of the fight getting pounded and finally wins making his point, it would have been better if the fight was handled like Deku vs Todoroki where Deku loses but makes Todoroki agree with his point, that or making Naruto just summon Gamabunta and wreck everything in the stadium and win lol

I think people are getting the wrong idea about Naruto’s destiny in the series and how Neji is proven right in all this especially with the whole Asura reincarnation thing. While yes Naruto will be great in this series, the anime’s name is Naruto after all, Naruto’s destiny was to keep on fighting Indra’s reincarnation(Sasuke) until one or both of them kills each other. The destiny is that they should fight each other throughout the generations without stopping. The endless cycle of hatred if you will. But this was stopped by Naruto in the final battle with Sasuke where instead of killing Sasuke, he chooses to take him back to the village and ending the cycle of hatred started by Indra and Asura thus proving Naruto’s point that Destiny does not define you.

I'll be honest, i know Naruto's original element is wind but i always felt that whenever he uses Nine Tail chakra he would be able to perform Fire Style Jutsu since Kurama is seen breathing fire. But that was just my thoughts back in the day to diversify Naruto's techniques.

This episode prove Neji speech was right all along. Naruto was destine to become a OP shinobi whether he wanted to accept it or not or try to change it. Same goes for Sasuke. In the defense of this battle, Neji stated that destiny set Naruto to lose their battle, Naruto disproved that by winning. People kept saying Neji is right and that because Naruto is the prophesied one and the reincarnation of basically the son of God that he is destined to win. Yet they forgot Naruto's own words right as they did the final clash in this fight: "But if you're going to say it's futile, you don't have to do anything" - if Naruto is destined to be this powerful being, then why work hard at all? Why does he need to prove himself? Why does he need to become Hokage and gain the acceptance of the village? If it is indeed inevitable, then why does he need to do any of it and just wait for it to happen? Prophecies don't complete themselves, they're only fulfilled when people work towards it. Of course Rock Lee is a much better example of hard work and determination against the odds, and Neji is a much better example of defying destiny and the status quo. But don't discredit Naruto of his own accomplishments on his road to Hokage just because in the end it is prophesied.

If Neji was right about destiny _he_ never would've been as strong as he is. According to the Hyuuga the main branch is the best and most powerful and the Branch subpar, Neji surpasses Hinata, Hanabi and most Adult Hyuuga and learned their family techniques he wasn't taught or allowed to know. If Neji was right about destiny he never would of had a choice in protecting the main branch, but Neji _chose_ to save Hinata and Naruto because they were his friends. Naruto's destiny as a Jinchuriki is to be nothing more than a military and political _tool_ and forever hated and feared by everyone, and his destiny as a taleness losser was to never be a ninja, die early or never become Hokage. Naruto broke all those expectations. Yes it easy to say that he was always gonna be strong from a Shippuden point of view, but Naruto NEVER would've gotten to that point if he himself didn't give up and do everything in his power to keep trying bc it was in no way easy or gauranteed. Even tho everything about Naruto as the child of prophecy came true it's bc he train to be worthy of that title, he _became_ the child of prophecy, it could easily have been Nagato or Minato. Naruto's destiny as Ashuras reincarnation was to kill Sasuke or die and repeat the cycle. Instead he choose option c and "broke the wheel".

I think he followed Jiraiya's instructions to use up all his Chakra just so he can summon the 9 tails. Also, Neji is one of the fastest Genin in the village just like a ghost (cause of the eyes) so in a way, Naruto wanted his Chakra to be used up or blocked maybe because he couldn't keep up with Neji. This match was clearly Monster vs Ghost except the ghost got spooked in the end!🤣
