FLAMMENHÖLLE LOS ANGELES: Victim reports! US wildfires in California out of control!
The death toll continues to rise in the most severe wildfires in the history of Los Angeles. At least ten people have died so far, according to a Los Angeles County coroner late Thursday evening (local time). County Sheriff Robert Luna said that the number is likely to rise in view of the widespread devastation. “It looks as if a nuclear bomb had hit these areas. I don't expect any good news.”
A total of five fires are still raging in Los Angeles County, covering an area of around 13,750 hectares - about the size of 19,000 soccer fields. The fires are repeatedly fanned by strong winds. So far, almost 10,000 buildings have been destroyed and 180,000 people have been evacuated from the endangered areas.
