Once again we are treated to another fantastic production. Kudos to all those who are responsible for condensing multiple story lines in a 6 hour race into just over an hour. Great work.

Terpstra won Flanders and the team car barely reacted. he was so undervalued at Quickstep no wonder he left. he's such a strong rider.
@sven56323 жыл бұрын
He was not undervalued, he won grate races with QS, should have stayed longer and win more
@pjetrs3 жыл бұрын
Im sorry but that is bullshit. It might be because they witnessed his solo for some time so they didn't have that euphoric moment at the finish line. But Terpstra was one of the most highly regarded riders at that team. Boonen said he was his best teammate ever. Lefevre was said to have let him go, but because of budget and age he couldnt keep him.

Indeed @1:01:36 once they find out he attacked and got away you can see that they have little faith in him. The reactions are nothing like when Gilbert attacked with 55km to go the year before which was a way crazier move.

Great shows. One thing these behind the scenes shows have shown me is how long the pros draft behind their team cars.......!
@filipito24 жыл бұрын
Correct me if i'm wrong but it's an unwritten rule in the peloton that a rider who got set back due to a mechanical problem, is allowed to take advantage of the teamcars to come back. It's a different thing if you get dropped offcourse. On a totally different note... God i love this sport and i miss the races sooo much :)).
@whatstrue14814 жыл бұрын
@@filipito2 Then why did the under 23 year old rider that won the World Championship in Harrogate England in 2019 get disqualified? The issue with this rule is it seems to be very "subjective" and not at all consistently applied.

The sense of camaraderie and friendship in the female squad ... Something missing from the male squad, where the fight for the podium is fierce.
@donotevenbegintocare4 жыл бұрын
That's normal in every sport. When there's little money people do it for the fun of it and there's little pressure. When there's a lot of money people do it for the money and there's huge pressure leading to more stressed athletes.
