I think what made Candy Wife so disturbing is the fact that the show never really reveals wether she is alive or not and keeps you guessing. The scenes where she is shown moving and acting “alive” could just be what we are seeing through Larry’s perspective. Are we watching a normal man arguing with his literal Candy wife? Or are we watching him slowly losing his sanity and taking out his frustration on an inanimate object? That’s what I love about Flapjack, it’s pretty much a bunch of disturbed people in a kid’s show.

I’ve actually thought about this. Since Flapjack, K’nuckles, and Bubby seem more sane than basically any other resident, it’s possible they actually found Stormalong and lived their by choice, whereas everyone else was either born there and raised by mentally ill parents or were sent there by force. This is already true for Bubby and Flapjack as Bubby wasn’t born in stormalong and is sane, and therefore raised Flapjack to be smarter than the other people.

I REALLY miss this show. Along with Chowder, Ed, Edd n Eddy, Foster’s, Billy and Mandy, Camp Lazlo, Hot Wheels Battle Force 5, and all the other classic cartoons I watched when I was a kid.
