Flash flooding in Oman and UAE hit by heaviest rainfall in 75 years

Oman endured flash flooding with authorities reporting fatalities before the United Arab Emirates was hit by what the government described as the largest amount of rainfall in the past 75 years.
The rains began on Monday night, and by Tuesday evening the desert city of Dubai had received the average amount of rainfall it normally gets for the whole year.

When I worked in Oman we had flash flooding a couple of times in the 80's if you have no soil to absorb the water to hold it back it goes rapidly to the lowest point, I was also in Dubai and Sharjah in the 60's no buildings a few villages, Nothing to see here in the 21 st century that has not happened in the recent past.

It is public knowledge that they cloud seed in the UAE. Are you suggesting that this deluge of rain is a result of cloud seeding? If so, please can you share where you have this information from? (I know an engineer or two that would love to be able to seed this much rain for our hydro reservoirs here in Australia. Our cloud seeding doesn't generate a quarter if this much and any new tips and tricks would be great to understand.) Thanks!!

This is the answer from a friend in Oman: "In oman happens every year and we have cyclones 🌀 but ppl or news dont talk about coz its not Dubai Dubi a bit of heavy rain and every shocked lol since year 1999 we gat cyclones almost every year. Worst one in 2007 called Guno then 2nd worse was 2022 July that passed over my apartment and many houses and ppl died but was not as bad as guno."
