Awesome! It's great when a soap starts subverting conventions of the genre to keep things fresh and interesting. Some producers are too set in their ways to experiment with anything other than abusing their power behind the scenes. This was a great device to keep the audience watching and waiting all year and ensure good ratings at Christmas, when viewers usually take a break from watching. Shout out to LOST for kicking off (or at least reinvigorating) this convention and congratulations to EE for making it work so well for soap! Nice to know it can be done.

Its obvious its Nish, Its not Phil or Keanu because Sharon would be more distraught checking the pulse, Its not Dean because Linda was barely in the room, I cant see Ravi going after Denise violently or any woman ,Plus the way Cathy looked at Suki and everyone stands there in shock but Suki slowly sits down she also looked like she was about to say Nishs name when she looked at the body ( A 10 Month Cliff-Hanger Though , I Hope This Doesn't Mean Suki Is Going To Push Eve Away For Another 10 Months Without Telling Her She Loves Her To , I Was Expecting Her To Come Out Soon, 10 Months Is Well To Long To Wait ,Its Also Pretty Frustrating We Have To Wait That Long To See What They Do After, The Cover Ups Always Better Than the Murder) A Long Cliff-Hanger Should Only Drag On For About 4Months, Nearly A Year Is Ridiculous)

I'm thinking the same exact thing. The way Kathy was looking at Suki and nobody seems too distressed. Nish is a very hateable character so it makes sense, but I guess we'll have to wait and see 10 months LOL I wonder if they let us spot those cufflinks before that episode!!

Linda looked the most shocked. But maybe it isnt even a main character since no one is particularly distraught. It could be a wedding guest. Or it could be a former cast member who came back to get revenge on Sharon or Keanu. A third idea is that it COULD be the women participating in a fake death., such as Phil's. They decide to fake his death so that the mob or whomever is after him will think he is dead.

Just seen the version without stay another day playing where you can here the sound effects and background noise more clearly with the sirens at the start being louder and what sounds like maybe an ambulance or police car's engine pulling up outside pub or maybe its a taxi

I think Stacey did the murder. She's got blood on her hands and the armor behind her is about to go into battle. She is also dressed in red, which stands for aggression and danger. For example, all women are dressed in a color with meaning. the last thing we see is the color yellow, which can indicate power and greed. The burning hearth fire also has a meaning. this represents a place where there is a lot of violent conflict.

What's very interesting and clever is that each of the women has a male character in their lives who could end up being the victim. Linda- Dean. Denise- Ravi. Stacey- Theo. Kathy- Rocky. Sharon- Keanu. Suki- Nish.

Nish is the most violent of the six and now knows about Suki and Eve, highest chance of dying unless he goes back to jail before Christmas Keanu second highest chance when his kidnapping of Albie gets exposed Dean only came back for Jade's cystic fibrosis, not likely to be him Theo will be in jail so ruled out Rocky sabotaging the cafe isn't a buyable reason for him to die, ruled out Ravi just had his daughter introduced so very unlikely it's him, mostly ruled out

The interesting flash-forward idea to have so many legendary women characters come together in a story. ED did that a while back, but I don't think they ever went a whole year forward, it was either a few weeks or months for that story. It's not Phil. EE would never take out Phil like that, even though it would be interesting and Phil has ties to all the women. Phil is EE after all. I wonder if it would be someone like Jack to really shake things up that they kill off a legendary character like Jack in such a storyline. But it's probably someone that is easy for them to lose like Nish.

(film student and future professional film director here). as the sequence progresses, we all see each member of the six, but the camera lasts the longest on denise to capture her reaction and to allow us to wonder what she is thinking. also, the long-shot showcases the full body of denise, which, makes it easier to form connotations. the bottle smashed being one of them, implying she has killed someone, meaning jack
