Yes, I a few of these as a kid, and finished my run a couple of years ago. I remember the filmation cartoon, but I think the movie pushed me and my friends to get these.

@@VintageToyRush It’s an easy line to collect cause there were just the 8 figures. Ming has a shuttle vehicle also but it’s really difficult to find in good shape -and it’s a real cheese of a vehicle. heheh. Plus some consider the metal ship that came out at the same time as the cartoon as part of the things to collect but it can’t fit any of these figures so it’s not really of this line imo.

Question. I have heated between 69 and 82 that cartoon shows (at least while airing) were forbidden from having toy lines based on them. What exactly happened? This seems to go against that regulation.

@@DCMarvelMultiverse I’m not sure when that ended. I think it was Regan that lifted that ban. maybe the cartoon was not on at a time when the rule applied. not sure how they got away with figures in 1979 while the cartoon was going.
