Many thanks for finding this out and sharing it with the world. Perhaps there is a good reason for DJI to disable this for the Mini 2 by default, but this is a life saver.

They disable it so you are forced to use the app so you can't downgrade i reckon

THE ASSISTANT SOFTWARE IS NOW FORCING AN UPDATE FOR A NEW VERSION, YOU WILL HAVE TO RERUN THE PATCH ON THE FILE OTHER WISE IT WONT WORK AGAIN., IT ALSO ADDS A [wm1605] upgrade_enable= CHANGE THIS TO 1 AS WELL AND ENTER NNFT ON A SEPERATE LINE

Thank you so much! I had tried the app but found it "useless" because it didn't show anything regarding firmware or updates. I could never have figured this out by myself. I went through your steps and it works perfectly now. Why the app installs with that feature disable is a mystery and I hope they fix that.

Dear: I can not update the Mini 2 battery to the latest firmware neither from the cell phone nor from DJI Assistant. I contact DJI support and they gave me the same procedure as your video but it does not work (it is a battery that I bought as a backup, not the that comes with the drone). Do you know what is the risk of flying the drone without updating the battery? (or if something else can be done). Saludos y gracias.

got a problem, on the base of the mini mavic drone, only 2 LEDS flash, (counting left to right its 3 & 4), i get no battery read on the screen and got a fault 30064, when i go though a fireware update i get to 61% then it come up battery error, ive swapped out batties and tried different batterys, all the same. Drone powers up ok, camera moves and takes pictures, but fault 30064 and no battery readings are present History, had drone on motorbike back box and camera cover came off, camera must have moved sufficiently to break the ribbon cable, I replaced the cable, camera works but the faults above developed obviously during my clumsy fix.

My cell phone, a samsung s10, when I turn on the radio control it appears that it is charging but the control does not recognize it. hi, thanks for this video tutorial. you've helped me repair my mini 2.. however, after a day of storing it.. it won't fly again and it says code error 30008. did the calibration both the barometer and compass outside but no luck for me.. i will try to do these firmware update again later and see if i will be fortunate enough. thanks still for this video.

Code 30007 & 30008: No GPS signal. Unable to hover. Fly with caution - Repair or replacement of the gps module is required.

I must have tried 15 times to get my mini 2 to connect to the assistant & it's just not showing. Did an update yesterday to 1.9.1 & there is no advanced gimble or expo settings options. Any advice? Thank you.

sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you wont be able to downgrade that low, DJI use a system called ARB anti roll back, and your FW is ARB3 the lower ones are ARB 2 and ARB1

it's similar , go to application - right clic on app dji assistant 2 - left clic on show package contents - left clic on contents. - left clic on macos - open defaultsettings.ini with text edit - now you can follow the instructions in the video , it's the same.

Why would it? You are flashing official DJI software with an official DJI product.

Dear Sir, I have one more question for you… I have been having this ‘Aircraft Firmware N/A’ issue in DJI Fly App with my Mini 2, just after I did a firmware update which automatically popped up from the DJI Fly app, at the time I purchased my Mini 2 (4 months ago from now). During the passed 4 months up to now I’m having this N/A issue. My question is, If I update my aircraft firmware to the ‘latest available version’ using the above method of yours, will I only get the features of the latest firmware ? as I will be updating to the ‘latest version’, will I miss the features which came with the previous firmware versions ?
