Should have went for carriers in that last game, little to no AA in that army. There was plenty of time and resources, nothing happened for the longest time. At least get the infrastructure for the transition up.

Once Flash learned to counter his storm strikes on his SCVs (building a lot of turrets), he weakened one big facet of Rain's playstyle. Flash is a master at macro and strategy, look at how he controls the map when attacking, knowing precisely where to hit and when to hit.

Re: 2nd game - I have no clue where you guys got the idea that Flash was anywhere close to being ahead at any point after the 5 min mark. Rain had 4 bases mining at all times. Even those very good fights in the middle didn't help Flash much because Rain was swimming in minerals and gas. Flash needed to have like 10 perfect fights in which he loses 40-50 supply less than Rain to even the score. There is no was that was happening vs Rain, even if Flash was in his prime. Watching that game makes me think Artosis might have a point.

In some cases it will be very beneficial especially in mid game when you need to pass zealots to positions just with turrets and opponents are stretched thin on army already.

Amazing series. Rain has such a unique style. Would it not make sense to use hallucination on zealots to clear mines and soak up tank damage against these late game Terran defences?

I did this vs my Terran friend. He was a very strong player and I did end up winning :) But its really micro heavy and it costs alot of energy (100). So its not a efficent way to play and vs elite players you really cant have sub-optimal ways of playing. The reason I manage to win was that I was up 2 or 3 bases and could trade very inefficently and eventually break through. For example, second game, he just divebombed and stormed the workers and he just won right there because of it. Hallucination will probably never give this amount of value.

@@denzelnolet it means they watch Flash's stream waiting to see when he queues up for a match, then match at the same time. That's as far as the "cheating" happens because all of them have their own stream going. It makes sense Flash would be the guy to troll a little after his scandal and all.

When you queue up at the same time and get someone else, then you leave the game instantly to queue up again in hopes of getting them. If they get someone else you wait for them to finish the game and then queue up when they do. This is sniping

Flash wins by exploiting Terran race. Turtle until 3/3/200. Note how his wins are from this strategy every time. I don't get why Protoss players are so stubborn in sticking with shitty ground units, which get vaporised by tanks and vultures. The latter need to be nullified with carriers. Especially when you have the resources, like Rain did in the last game.

It's like this: Ground army with shuttle crushed most anything except well controlled 3-3 200supply mech. 3-3 12 carrier army kills 3-3 mech. But the moment you try to transition flash goes out for the kill.

@@SaiyanKCM Yea, I think P need to go for carriers more. The 2 base carrier play is bizarre and I don't recall it ever working against a top terran. The meta would likely evolve to a combination of P doing enough damage to have enough slack for a carrier switch, complimented with push inhibiting reaver play.

My general obsession not that flash is good. But his opponents so much mess around that is straight unbelievable. So much miss opportunities to grind flash army down, so much missed storms to thin air, no reaver drops, bad zealots bombs oh man this was pain to watch. This protos is defo no snow level. I can not even remind myself how many times he just left his templars due to vultures. 🫥
