Thanks for the review. First time on your channel and I got more useful information from your 10 minute video than watching several 30 minute long table top reviews. I own the SR2 Baton which I love for a pocket EDC but other Olights not so much but I am seriously considering getting this one.

I've always been a surefire guy because Murica! that is of course until our platoon designated marksman caught a secondary projectile in his right thigh in '13 which would probably shattered his femor if it ain't for the olight in his pocket (which btw is still working) darn thing has got a good dent in it but still functional nonetheless. so now, I'm an olight guy. it sure ain't a budget light, but real quality in my opinion don't come cheap

Hello Matt. Wonderful review, as always. I particularly liked the the dangerous place roar.🙂 I've just purchased an Olight Seeker Pro Max. This is for a specific purpose. Hopefully, my next acquisition will be a Noctigon K9.3. The only worry is choosing the LEDs. I thought that I'd go with deep red on the outside and a suitable 5000k on the inside. Switch will be amber, if choosable (if there's such a word). As always take care in those dangerous places.

Needs 5500K LED's, 1 lumen moon, a timer mode that is possible to activate and a battery that can fit a 21700 charger.
@adamskythief82384 жыл бұрын
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV Why would the timer be hard to activate? If you can access turbo, you can access the timer just as easily. All it is is a short click then a long click instead of two short clicks. My seeker 2 pro just came in the mail and it’s charging, so if it actually is hard then Ill update this post but I doubt it.

@adamskythief82384 жыл бұрын
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV I haven't had any trouble with it. A short then long press for timer isn't much more difficult than two short presses for turbo. You have to have the flashlight on already though, I learned that the hard way by looking straight into the lense expecting it to turn on a three minute moonlight timer, but instead got hit with turbo to the face, lol.

Watch for the Olight Sales, which are frequent, and get 30%-40% off this price. I have this light and a host of other Olights and I have had good service with all. And Olight's claims of Lumen ratings are usually conservative unlike most other light manufacturers.

Strobe looks to me like it drops off quite a bit what if they ran that strobe at only half the speed but left it up there at turbo output that way it would have double the time to recharge the capacitor before it fired again and it would certainly be even more blinding. City dwellers do not like dim strobes for potential defense. It's a thumbs-up video that's for sure. Is there anybody that can just tell me the brightest strobe out there so I can quit looking through what seems to be about a million videos now?

Typical olight meh. But they are good quality and build. Just nothing to right home about. Proprietary battery is what has turned me off from olight after I purchased the h2r. But there is no doubt there a very good light company
@StormChild5 жыл бұрын
I have at least 2 dozens of flashlights, and the only one I really hate is the Olight R50 Seeker - that light is awful... I always wanted to love it, it has a bright enough beam, but as you wrote, nothing to write home about, not a clever UI, not an exceptionally small size, plus it was expensive as hell. I liked Olight after the S1, S10 and S10R2, but since I have a lot of lights like the Emisar D4, D4S, D1S (and I've already ordered the D4V2 :)), I wouldn't buy anything from Olight (and Thrunite) anymore! (Nitecore is sometimes an exception, since the Nitecore Tini is AWESOME, the Tips are KEWL, the Tup is good, but SRT9 was meh after the GORGEOUS SRT7 quality-wise.) BTW, @Flashaholics, another great review, thanks a lot! :))

@@nathan55000 best light imo, the Warrior has reliability issues too.
@nathan550004 жыл бұрын
Have seen a lot of complaints online about the Warrior having issues. The one I have has been so far reliable. There is a just few things about it that really annoy me. Like I wish I could program it to stay on the high mode(750) without it automatically turning back down to the 250 after 10 of inactivity. My other complaint is it gets very hot on turbo. These complaints are motivating me to continue my flashlight journey for the perfect light for me. Lol I appreciate you responding. I love being able to talk with other people about my obscure hobby.

I do not own a single Olight product. I’ve been around flashlights since 2007 when Malkoff came out with his first 250 lumen M60 Drop In. I’ve seen this market grow. Some companies are geared towards their fan base and make constant adjustments. Others are geared strictly to law enforcement and military personal and are extremely over priced. Olight products do have insanely good beam patterns. But, the cost to lumen ratio, proprietary batteries and charging mechanisms on specific lights in my opinion do not justify the cost.
@FLASHAHOLIC_TV5 жыл бұрын
Olight are a great light if u just want 1, they aren't really for Flashaholics
@dblankenship885 жыл бұрын
Ence I didn’t state my opinion based on pure ignorance. I’ve held, operated and used Olight products on camping trips, in the military and used to work on different house hold repairs. All have been borrowed or lent by friends. Like I previously stated the beam pattern is exceptional on almost all of the ones I’ve used. Cost to lumen output, proprietary batteries and chargers on select models are a disservice and they are over priced just like SureFire and Fenix products.
@dblankenship885 жыл бұрын

@dblankenship885 жыл бұрын
kbk011 you made such an assumption based on my stating that I’ve used Olight products and found them to be overpriced for the product they give you. Yet, you know nothing about me or the amount of lights I do in fact own. You don’t have the slightest idea of the kind of lights I purchased when I was in the military. I been purchasing high end lights since 2007. I watched Fenix develop and form its name. I received the phone call from Gene Malkoff and spoke to him on the phone. He used to do that every time someone purchased a drop in or light. I was around when CPF was in its hay day. So, you are free to assume anything you’d like but be certain that the amount lights I own well exceeds 100. There are people besides KZbin reviewers that actually use lights in practical applications and not just for walking the dog or shining bit around ones house.

Nice comparison. Honestly this is the most useless flashlight i ever owned, in last years. Extremely short runtime on turbo and proprietary battery and charging system... For a security person it might be awesome, but for edc or industrial work is crappy. No antiroll and way too heavy to attach it to a helmet. Edit: also the holster is terrible, a velcro one is alot better. I always struggle to close it. The lower part move downside when pushed.
