Mikerisms ... unfortunately they have gone in a direction since then that I just don’t understand and I haven’t enjoyed their more recent releases since the line-up change. Johnny was the life and death of that group, I feel like. But that’s a whole other conversation for a whole other video.

@@johnosucha The first two album's with Bradley really were good imo. They weren't this, but they were for sure good. After that I stopped keeping up.

@@theecarking I just can’t listen to any of the new stuff with the new singer. He’s no where near as good a vocalist as Jonny Craig and musically they went so much more poppy and radio friendly once they got Bradley and I was just disappointed in how much softer the music got. Obviously trying to be more digestible to reach a wider audience and reclaim a strong following that Relativity gained them. And also I think relativity is just one of those once lifetime albums that just can’t be replicated. The album after it (which I love) had the same line up but still couldn’t replicate the sound they created with Relativity. Idk. It’s my favorite tho and I have been listening to it regularly since it came out WAAAYY back when

Don't get me wrong, I think JC was the best singer in DGD, but his work with emarosa stands out more because its just a band more focused around his voice and not having obligatory screams from a dedicated screamer in every song. When you hear screams on the two Emarosa albums, you know those were from JC and it adds a bit to those moments.

This was one of my favorite albums in high school along with Saosin's self titled (which you should totally do a cover off of) but it really showed me how powerful of a voice Jonny had. Despite his poor choices he has always had an excellent voice. Amazing cover my dude!

I was 12 in 09 and found relativity and it shaped my whole personality and mindset. I swear the tasty licks and just beautiful, complex song writing motivated my brain to find patterns and be interested in the difficult. I love science and engineering. I'm a welder and I'm going to engineering school and I won't be able to do it without music like this. God I wish it were 2012 again.
