What happened was Roger Stone, Alex Jones, Fox News, social media and a steady dose of fear/ignorance... All the conspiracies and fear mongering brainwashed a shit ton of gullible people and I watched the entire thing go down. It was a snowball effect. I honestly blame Roger Stone the most. He’s the guy that ushered in the “Win at all cost” mentality politics . The true mudslinging began when that horrible human being entered the arena...

@@JustSimonn ???? In what way did Obama represent a change in mindset from “He’s a good guy, we just happen to disagree”? @@deniseowens4543 Well no not really. McCain, as nice of a guy as he was, constantly bent the knee to trying to save his career. He would go on TV or give speeches preaching about doing the right thing and looking out for everyone but then once it came down to a vote on a serious issue he would divert from his greater good ideas and just vote for bad ideas and bad policies because he wanted to appease the party line. I have a lot of respect for him as a man, but as a politician he was no better than the rest of the GOP. Preaching about greater good to the people and then voting against their interests in favor of advancing a political career. It was painful to see because he seemed like such a great guy. But time and time again he followed the GOP formula of promising a greater good to the people but when it came down to a vote on politics he supported things that would actually hurt every day people.

It's interesting because being an "Arab" is an ethnicity which in of itself isn't a bad thing, but the way she conveyed it it sound like she meant "muslim" which isn't a bad thing in itself either. Both Terms are almost synonymous with "Terrorist" in America, even more so back when this was caught, but neither even means close to the word terrorist. It's a simple matter of definition, these people have/had access to dictionaries at the very least which would tell them something similar. So when she says she read that he was an "Arab", it's like where did you read that and who told you what an Arab was because it's not accurate. This is why America has its intelligence stereotyped. Which honestly too me if you say you've heard someone is American, I would instantly assume a lack of intelligence, which is super Ironic.

John McCain was exactly what we need today, a decent, kind upstanding man. Even if people did not agree with his vote on Obamacare, he got up from his hospital bed and voted his conscience. He did not bluster, nor rail about what he did. He voted his mind, what he felt was best for people who needed help. If it was not for VA, or Obamacare I could not afford to get medical help in America. The insurance companies have made it clear who they work for, and it's not us.

I'll stay with my vision of a Leader of Our Country being a Person who defines exemplary values such as Respect, Honour, Courage, and Resilience in the face of uncertainty. Unfortunately, the 2020 Election doesn't happen to have such a Candidate to offer, due to our Ancient and Needless 2-Party system.

Very true, it's appaling what's going on in the current election. Trump is certainly no peach but Biden is equally corrupt. Life-long politician with a past of racism and sexual harassment. Currently he's dealing with corruption in the Ukraine while trying to cope with what seems to be moderate to severe dementia. His VP openly fucked her way to the top, has an atrocious political record and seems like the most insincere human in the world. And she's probably gonna do everything in her power to use the 25th amendment on Joey. Get your shit straight for the next election and vote for decent human beings. Shouldn't be too difficult.

This is the type of person you want to see as president. Right now we're so divided. Trump fuels it instead of putting a stop at it. My uncle told me a story once about the night Obama was elected. Both sides were at bar waiting for the results. No one was arguing with each other. Even when Obama won, still no one argued. Nowadays, you can't have both sides in one room without a argument or hell even fight breaking out.
