@@KatRM13 agree. Obama even said that if either Mccain or Romney won, the country would be in good hands. Also lets not forget Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski, two republican women who voted against the repeal. They deserve admiration too.

@@brightdaysaheadofUs McCain should not have run with Palin, she seriously dragged down his campaign. But winning against Obama in 08 was almost impossible anyway. McCain and Romney both represent what I value most in politicians: They have a conscience. My personal views differ in many areas, but these are/were conservative politicians who have understood what it means to serve their country.

I didn't always agree with Senator McCain on certain policies but never the less he was always someone i respected. Not just for his service in our armed services, or his service to our country in Congress, but it was his character and his sense of honor that i always admired he wasn't afraid to stand up for what he believed was right even if it might have been bad for him politically. I wish we could have seen him as president if he had gone up against Hillary instead of Obama i believe he would have won and i would have definitely voted for him. From one Maverick to another Senator thank you for your service and sacrifice for our country rest easy sir.
