Wow this is something else .I used to live right there on Willowbrook in El Segundo. right there on the corner there is a shopping center It used to be a library .and some kind of Wash House now it's a little shopping center .I used to go there to the library and take books and take them home. I used to get in trouble for taking the books off the shelf and taking them home My mother used to take the books back we live like the second building from that corner and across the street at that liquor store where two pretty Kenny. was standing before that was built there used to be a Black Panthers organization they used to have arts and crafts for kids in the neighborhood and a free lunch program we used to go there I did because of all kind of fun It was for the kids that lived in the neighborhood I was born in 1964 this was probably in 1968 And after they built that liquor store this is before the gangbanging days and across the street from my house on Willowbrook was the main street then there was some train tracks. and then there was a school called Mary Anderson School that was my preschool the first school. I ever went to moving from Chicago to LA Westside. to my uncle's house and his wife my. Fathers brother we live there and then we moved to Compton to his second house on Willowbrook in El Segundo in Compton. I believe the house is tore down now it's no longer there It's some kind of lot or something but yeah .I remember that It's crazy how time flies by
