It blows my mind how long he’s been acting since this interview when you think about how much the world has changed since. 1998 feels like a lifetime ago to me as a 90s kid and he has an extensive filmography. Yet he’s only early 40s. But you can see the passage of time not just in his looks obviously but in the change from the boyish charm to his very dry humour and mellowed persona (even more charming in my opinion!)

Funny thing he almost quit acting after young Hercules because the director hated him. The director wanted someone to resemble Kevin Sorbo and because Ryan did not and was so slim he took out on him and made sure he knew he was not the right person for the role. He almost quit acting after the show ended but his friend who plays young Eyous (can be bother to look his name up but it is the one that not Jason) convinced him not to quit and now he huge star.
