The attention to detail when arnold drops in the metal is cool, i can clearly see that the CPU cover flew out of its place and they had him turn with that side to the camera to show how the liquid metal made contact with the CPU just like the T1000 at the beginning dropped liquid metal in the damaged T800 and probably made its way to the CPU to activate it

Being honest, this particular scene is the only one that actually stirred up some emotions...about how an AI machine would be able to develop & display parental care & understand the value of relations. This version of T unit perfectly displayed a father figure disposition, & would do whatever it takes to avert any chaotic situation that would harm Sarah...who here is seen as a child he cared for ever since she was little & fragile. The tone of his concerns for her, the situation...& trying his best to contain the chaos imminent, with the intense wave of music FX, this part of Genisys makes it redeeming...though it wasn't a perfect movie.

I do love the futuristic sets with the time-travel aspect to the movies story, despite it getting convoluted and confusing. I prefer Genisys storyline of John Conner as a terminator villain, rather than Dark Fate's storyline where a terminator brutally murders an unarmed child with a shotgun. John Conners T-3000 death in Genisys serves a greater purpose than the first 2 mins of Dark Fate. Plus Genisys is soo much more interesting with its potential story, yet unfortunately will never get a sequel, unless a fan-film can get made with a decent budget behind it.

The story of the film was actually quite good, it just needed a better script and cast so that it could've been done as a sequel to Salvation AND a reboot at the same time like X-Men: Days of Future Past. The sequels could've had John returning somehow, eventually regaining his humanity and maybe him and the Guardian sacrificing themselves to defeat stop Judgement Day and Skynet/Alex once and for all, leaving Sarah and Reese to make their own future together. A different actress as Sarah along with Christian Bale and Anton Yelchin returning from Salvation would've been a good start.

For me, this was a very satisfying ending. We got a dramatical "sad" ending. A sort of, epilogue to his demise and what Sara and Kyle are thinking about the "sacrifice", then moments later, a joyful ending at the "resurrection" and UPGRADE, of the Terminator. I still like this one, as well as Dark Fate. For me, the franchise are the first 2 original Terminator films, followed by the last two (as it is in 2021)

John Connor was alive even after conversion. That's why he's the only successful T-3000 as others weren't special and they died unlike John. John was subconscious while the programming took over. Also when Sarah and Kyle marry John would be born. Sarah starts loving Kyle at the end of the film and Pops (T-800) supports it. Such a good and uncertain ending.

If people were able to let go of the fact that John is a villain and the actors for Kyle and Sarah are different I think more people would've liked it
