He followed up an edge-of-your-seat triumph over Cartier Horse of the Year Giant’s Causeway in 2000 with one of the most emotionally charged victories our sport has ever witnessed when he won it “for America” just 46 days after 9/11 in 2001.
The man with the best seat in the house for both wins, Chris McCarron, joins Matt Carothers and Tiznow himself for this edition of #FlashbackFriday.

Matt , like you and others I have watched both Breeders Cup Classics with Tiznow numerous and still get goosebumps. Tom Durkin’s race calls are the some of the greatest of all times.

One of my Favorite horses 🐎 ! As tough as they come ! In 2001. B.C. " NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE HEART OF A CHAMPION" !! GET EMOTIONAL EVERY TIME I SEE IT ! TOM DURKIN CALL WAS OUTSTANDING !!!

Chris McCarron rode Prisionist with with the love of the grandstand... I beleive he won the Strub series of three races at three distances ...won of my fav's also, as with CJ😊😊

McCarron Claims His Greatest Ride in His Career Was Aboard Sunday Silence in The 89 Classic...He Claimed He Stole The Race From Easy Goer and Was His PERFECT Ride...That is True But Easy Goer Was EXTREMELY Sluggish During That Race as 1-2 Fave and Lost by a Neck Closing Late...EGs Ankles Were Swelled The Size of Grapefruits Prior to Race and They Almost Scratched Him

Who told you EG's ankles were swelling? LMFAO 😂😂😂😂😂😂. You can't prep for 1 1/4 race by going a 1 1/2. That's why EG had no early speed in the BC. I also think SS was just a better horse
