Yh the symbolism makes alot sense when you think about it. I'd add that the old gen consoles could be sunken ships, anita sarkeesian is a sea monster trying to sink the consoles, and all the consoles in the PS4 and Xbox One line up (PS4 Slim, PS4 Pro, Xbox One S and Xbox One X) are like the fleets of ships. Honestly don't know why people don't just buy all of the consoles and be happy to be able to play pretty much any game that comes out. Sure, keeping subscriptions up are iffy on the budget, especially if you are paying for both systems' online subs, but you can pick and chose which system to have subbed and which one you don't. Idk, me personally like to be able to play on all platforms. The only system that I haven't bought yet is the nitendo switch, primarily because I just started getting into pc gaming more due to buying a decent gaming computer. Haha and no i don't have a good paying job either and have other things in my life to keep up, I am a university student after all 😂. My point is to buy things that you are going to want to play or use, and it is not like you have to buy everything in one go. Save up little by little. Me, I make a note to put like $25 off to the side every paycheck so no matter what I can enjoy endulging in good or bad things in the gaming industry. Well those are my thoughts. @@kama6592 PS4 had some neat exclusives but both consoles as a whole (especially in the first couple years) were kinda meh compared to the previous gens. Not to mention both of them are competing with PCs with is a losing fight and now Nintendo is the only console that regularly does couch co-op. The switch is an innovative console wereas the Xbox one and PS4 are just bigger versions of their previous machines and are more mini PCs then traditional gaming consoles like they once were. I feel like Sony and Microsoft are going to have a hell of a time keeping the next gen of consoles relevant unless they do something actually different and stop ripping each other off.

@@Gunplabro the 3Ds has no competition as sony gave up on mobile devices. And the WiiU sucking is apart of what I was talking about. The Wii was a neat gimmick that scored alot of money at a specific time but otherwise wasn't all that. And tell WiiU was just redundant. He switch was a comeback as far as consoles go, but Nintendo basically has a Monopoly on mobile gaming devices (other than cell phones) nowadays.

@@MALICEM12 The PS4 and Xbox have always been "mini PCs", it's just that user perception has changed with time. They don't really compete with PCs at the price point they're set at since you can't get as good of a gaming setup with a TV plus a $300 console as you could with a monitor + a $300 PC. I'm not saying the Switch idea isn't good, it's just that Nintendo has always relied on doing something different from the competition to make up for lackluster gaming performance and get more console sales, so at this point, I'm used to the formula each company uses. Next-gen consoles probably aren't going to bring anything groundbreaking to the table, but rather I think Sony and Microsoft are going to go down the Apple route of expanding their platforms to keep users locked into an ecosystem of sorts. Services like PlayStation Vue and PS Now are prime exhibits. Couch co-op is admittedly something I wish was done better but there are still co-op games like Borderlands to tide me over
