Flashing am32 FW on my Emax ESC | RPM Lock | Silent Crawler ESC

Wow great video on the esc and flashing AM32. I have had the Stlinker in my cart for weeks and been hesitant to do that even after reading the guides. I’ll have to buy that esc again and flash it. I have been doing research on other escs but looks like that model has worked good for you and not burned up.

Thanks for this great video. I did erase the esc and program it with the am32 firmware. However, I’m having a bit of problems with the BLhelisuite 32 32.9.05. It gives me this error. “m4wFClntf” succeeded. Found outdated protocol version 106. Please update the interface to support revision! (Protocol 107 or higher”

Question, any tips with cogging between sinusoidal and normal mode transition? I have reflashed ESC with different versions of firmware, decrease/increase: sine mode power, start up power, sine start up range. I keep getting a cog like hesitation, the motor stops for a split second during the transition and goes on but if I hold the throttle at that precise transition, it starts to sound like a machine gun lol and the motor keeps stopping and spinning like a mad man. Have you come across an ESC thats faulty in that sense, I got another ESC and that one works like a charm, but hurts to throw away an ESC that can potentially be fixed. Can you just use the signal wire out of your receiver into the esc and it works?

Hey if you set the voltage cutoff in betaflight with the FC, will it still work without the FC?

Choosing betaflight f3 in BF firmware... Do you choose that name for every flight controller? Or is that specific to which FC you have? Just want to clarify as that could be confusing. Yeah I would recommend staying away from betaflight and flight controllers unless you don't have any other way. Because drivers can be a pain and it's not easy to understand your problem. May need to download impulse rc driver fixer. Exe

@furadi Hello. At 7'03 I see a black ground wire connected and then I don't see it anymore when the ESC is connected to USB. Is this ground wire really mandatory? Thank you in advance and congratulations again for this video

the ground is needed for flashing the bootloader and FW. But not for configuring through USB

Had the same issue last night... STM shows up on my PC but I get a DEV_COMM_USB_ERROR. After looking around, I'm pretty sure my solder job was botched and the EMAX wasn't powering my STLinker. In trying to fix it, I Iifted a pad with no luck trying to fix it down again.. time to wait for shipping again :/

I went to st website where you download the cube software. There is a link for an update for the ST linker. Maybe it is in the page after you receive the email to download the cube software. Can’t recall exactly. That did the trick for me. The update button in the cube didn’t work for me either.
