if you turned off v sync then this is probably it cause i know that’s what happens in a lot of other sonic games that are based off of frame rate

The other one is running on the mix of a newer version of the retro engine and the hedgehog engine, sooo no they don't have this problem if we're talking about the Sonic Origin version of 1, CD, 2 3nk

The audio stays normal because it's stored in streamed / waveform files triggered by cues on the code, not sequenced ones. The game itself is faster because all timers and physics are tied to framerate-based parameters (this normally can be fixed through editing the settings text file "settings.ini")
