Some of these have been put up in Atlanta. I noticed one surprisingly not having any background during my last trip there.

I know, but one of them in Atlanta have a flashing arrow it’s that same exact signal, but I saw one on Google Street view with the left through yield on green sign.

But these do not mount on poles in california, They only use for masts and also does not have these kinds of signal in CA, Except the one that does not have a biomedal signal

We should do this set up in California.

I love how the standards change even from different country's in Australia we have a red Arrow on some signals it will turn off 5 seconds after the light has turn green What it means is once the main signal turned green the red arrow will turn off after 5 seconds or after the pedestrian signal has turn back to from flashing red you may turn but you must give way to on coming traffic I might try and record that one day so every one can see it
@nswtrains31533 ай бұрын
Yes! Those traffic lights are good and I am Australian, here in the Wollongong CBD Keira street and market street has a flashing yellow arrow and a red arrow

This must be a way that some cities that can't afford to convert to the four section FYA signal are doing so less expensively by converting existing doghouse signals with a FYA.

In Georgia they are slowly replacing all of the doghouse models with a separate unit for each lane. I like this setup though

These yellow trap bimodal arrows can be used in California too, instead of four lights.

What if the left side of the light isn’t lit green but the right side is what does this mean ? Drivers can only drive straight and not take a left turn ?

The original flashing yellow arrow doghouse was at Valley View Road and Prairie Center Drive in Eden Prairie, MN. Like this it's a shared lane, but it operates a little differently- during peak times when there's a lot of turning traffic it operates as split phase, during non-peak times it operates as permissive only. This is the third installation, at 90th street and I-35W in Bloomington, MN

Could be a problem for the color-blind. There's something to be said for having each signal in a different position.

Not necessarily. Drivers need to know that if it’s solid, the green is lit, and if flashing, it’s a flashing yellow.

I’m assuming they added an extra one on a pole in a better field of vision to see it while the driver is yielding to traffic and pedestrians.
