I still remember how impressed I was by the incredible brightness of those old SureFire lights and their 65 lumen incandescent lamps. After I kept breaking the lamps during training, I switched to LED drop-in modules as soon as they were available and left SureFire behind (they eventually adopted LED tech, obviously). We're living during a great time with respect to handheld light technology, especially with companies like Thrunite delivering lights with such impressive performance at prices that make upgrading less painful.

Very true comments. Too many people just discard the older version with little to no thought, that this flashlight is still "good" and would be viewed as quite functional if not great by most other users. Not an idea readily espoused by most OEM's, Good job!

Love all of my Thrunite flashlights for EDC, Travel, and Outdoors. I also have updated my Maglites to LED for use during power outages. Any other flashlight I've had have been donated to our local charitable donation center for others to use and enjoy.

I totally agree. I got a TC12 V2 and a Ti3 in my daily use, at the moment they fullfill my needs just fine. But I never threw my old Maglites, I purchased about 25 years ago as a child, away. I upgraded both Maglites with LEDs couple years back. The small 2AA Light went to my little Sister, but the big 3 D-Cell Light I kept for myself, because in the right occasion it is fun to use the big light and get some old memories back. I want to participate in the Giveaway and would love to win a new Flashlight. Maybe I have a need I don´t know about yet ;)

Great timing Cutlerylover. I've been sorting out my tools tool shed the last few days and I've come across about a dozen I hadn't laid eyes on in years. Mostly Maglights, and with new batteries they all still worked but 2. I couldn't get those open (yet). I've been giving them away to friends and neighbors. I was amazed at how many people didn't even have one in their cars. SMH !!! As far as my favorite Thrunite, the TC20, though not that old is a very handy all around flashlight. I can't even remember all the models I have. They're in every vehicle, fishing, hunting and camping bag and every room in the house. I guess I'm 1 of those guys. LOL 😆

I completely agree with this video. I bought a Thrunite neutron 2c v2 in 2016 for my trip in Perù, and i was shocked by the 1040 lumens this compact flashlight can output. Then i also bought a t10 to keep a flashlight with my keys. These flashlight doesn't exist anymore, but i still use them regularly without any compromise.

I haven't found a flashlight I enjoy more than the TT20. Perfect for self defense and everyday use. It would be cool to see you guys create your version of the mag light. A high powered adjustable beam would be a game changer if done right. The TN42 V2 would just be an awesome light to have. maybe someday 🤞

My EDC is a Thrunight Ti3 Black. It fits perfectly in my leatherman wave pouch and it runs FOREVER on the lithium AAA battery. I use the firefly mode almost daily and the brighter modes for looking into equipment at the shop. Love it, and can’t beat it!

I had my TC20 from my friend who worked off shore and it was their daily helper. I only had it for couple of weeks and my colleague managed to completely destroy by lowering the fully loaded car ramp on it. The lens and front end snapped off and I only have the li-ion battery from it as a nice memory(still powers up my head torch for years since😁) Now I have TT20 and cant fault it at all, love the double lock function, as my kids are always curious with my gadgets and love the performance/ modes, great for the value

The more lights you have, the handier they are because you can put them everywhere you might need them. I love my three Thrunite flashlights and I guess I don't consider that any modern LED lights become obsolete, as opposed to incandescent lights, which I do feel that way about.

I bought my first Thrunite, the TC12 V2, last year. I only had occasion to use it around the house or out in the garage so far, but I really liked it. Then all of a sudden it would no longer take a charge. It has never been dropped or out in the rain/snow or cold. It is stored alone in a Maxpedition Cocoon pouch that is attached to the shoulder strap of my 5.11 gear Rush72 backpack so I do not see how it could have accidentally turned on, not that I am sure that would have made a difference. I did contact Thrunite a few months ago and they replied asking if I had tried certain things, which I had but it made no difference. The one thing that I could not try was another battery as the only other 18650 batteries that I own have proprietary connections which will not work in this light. I meant to reply to the email explaining all of this when I caught covid. Not long afterwards my son and then his grandmother caught it as well. We were all laid up for a while and I am not sure where the email went but it's not in the inbox. I guess I will have to search the other sections of my email to see if it is still there. Anyway, I really did like the light while it worked, and it would have been perfect for use around camp or out on the trail.

Having the right tool 🔦 for the right job 🚵‍♂ makes all the difference 🏁 My Thrunite T2 is amazing for mountain biking because it has a 𝙒 𝙄 𝘿 𝙀 beam pattern which is important for having peripheral vision while taking turns in the darkness of the night. Ocean Blue edition because looking cool is half the battle 🏄‍♂

I carry a t1s often as an edc, neutron 2 is nice as well I say often as I rotate regularly, tt20, t2 is a favorite too but not a edc size foe me. Don't have a tc20 yet. Of course cannot forget the w1 which I have given quite a few as gifts and still have 6 and glad since it seems to be discontinued. Tt20 headlamp is a great multi battery compact headlight. And may I add thrunite's customer service is great, dealt with them a few times and was always excellent. Last one was in the middle of a move, they wanted to fix my issue but told them I was moving, Jessica said contact them when I settled in, I did, and three days later my replacement was in my mailbox. So I f you read that their CS was bad, take it with a grain of salt.

I think saving and if possible upgrading the old flashlights is a very good idea! It would be nice if Thrunite, which is a quality brand with a long lifespan on its products, also come with update kits in the future?

I still Love my old TN4A and my archer 2AV3 and the now discontinued 1AV3 the still have a place in my EDC Rotation though admittedly the TN4A dosent get much use i still have it ready for use incase of a blackout or when i go out for drives at night with my friends
