Nah, he doesn't train to fight. He's phenomenal at emulating the movements of realistic fighting, mostly due to his background in Boxing, and I'm sure he has sparred a lot in his life, but his entire martial arts career was dedicated on making movies. The rhythm and the distance between choreography and fighting are so different, that he'd probably have to go against his instincts to actually fight.
