I’ve been working at Chrysler as a temp and they don’t even know when we will be rolled over because they lay off all the full time so they can get the cheap labor with us the ones with less pay and less benefits my cousin makes 17.50 at chuches chicken and I make 15.78 as a temp working on so called quality made cars they say we will get hired in around contract time because people took the buyout but I feel like they did that to save money not to roll us over to full time and the uaw don’t care about us and we do the same work as full timers and we pay are dues

​@Michael-fl1tm and yet uaw wages only account for 5% of the cost of new vehicles. Thank the epa and government agencies for the taxes. Pickup trucks that make less than 28 mpg combined it gets a $10,000 per vehicle fine tacked right onto the cost of the truck. That epa fine is double what uaw pay is in that vehicle. On a $100,000 truck uaw pay is only $5,000 of that price. If the uaw was paid minimum wage do u really think they would sell that 100k truck for 95k? Lol no they would likely raise the price for better profit margin.

That may be great for those workers, the only problem is that cost to the company is passed on to consumers that make half that per hour. So they get screwed so some can enjoy the high wages.
