I agree that cavendish burns hotter unless you have it at just the right moisture level. Anyone else cut WAY back on tobacco buying with how ridiculous the prices have gotten?

I hear you it seems to go up every year but yes I keep buying 😂

Good Sunday Morning Brian. It's been snowing for 30 hours straight up here in the wilderness of the Rockies in Wyoming. We are supposed to get 2-4 feet - 2 more days to go. Looking forward to those boat vids!

Hey Brian, just wanted to say thanks again for the beautiful pipe. I'm currently breaking it in with some Old Joe Krantz and Haunted Bookshop. It is an excellent smoker and I love the bowl size. I'm sure I will enjoy many more smokes with it. Thank you Beans 316.

Just finished a bowl of Director’s Cut before watching this video. Man, I find that a good blend. It seems unique to me, as it has elements of a VaPer but has a nice smooth creamy smokey sweetness.

Ordered some of the new Rivertown Tobacco Works (Crimson Shadow and Oak & Ember) last night. Cool to see Laudisi and C&D trying to absorb some of the bulk void left by Sutliff. Looking forward to seeing how they are.

So is this guy flatcap another pipe tobacco reviewer or he typically sell tobacco as someone interested in blending just curious because as we all tobacco laws are overbearing I’m wondering how he’s able to make and release his own blends

He’s just a fellow Utube presenter that had some made before the Sutliff collapse

Thank you very much Brian for doing this review. I also noticed that the tin top bended sort of easily. Some of the tins I got had some big dings from shipping. Nevertheless, I was extremely grateful that Sutliff was able to collaborate with me on this blend. It took me 3 times to send it back and forth until I was happy with the results. I learned a lot in the process of tweaking the percentages. I wonder what it would taste like if we removed all the cavendish. Food for thought when I work on a hopefully second edition. Just like any blend, jar it up and give it some time to do its thing and perhaps you will enjoy it more and give it a few more points up. I had some people mention how it got better after it was allowed to be in the mason jar for a bit. Thanks again for doing the review! Hope to see you again in one of the shows this year.

Absolutely my friend thank you everyone’s tastes are different but I will definitely let it rest awhile

Morning Brian, i really dont think its the blend as much as it was the blender leaf, sutliff cavendish and burley never agreed with me either. Perhaps if it gets produced by someone else it would be much more superior
